Our family of brands turns the IAG purpose of making your world a safer place into action by helping everyday Aussies and New Zealanders, supporting their ambitions and making insurance accessible. \nIn this role you will work closely with the business and provide commercially focused, fast paced legal advice in the key functional areas of: marketing/consumer law, privacy/spam, digital, technology and commercial contracting.\nThis is a 12 month max term opportunity based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne)\nWhat You'll Do \nProvide legal support for a broad range of exciting marketing, digital and growth-related initiatives in support of IAG’s customer growth strategy, with mentoring and support from senior lawyers.\nEstablish deep and effective relationships with peers and business partners (including the digital and marketing teams) to understand their business drivers and strategic priorities.\nAdvise IAG, including monitoring legislative/regulatory changes and market best practice, in key functional areas\nProvide high quality, strategic, pragmatic and commercially focused legal and governance advice to business partners and peers.\nWhat you’ll bring\n4+ years PQE, at top tier private practice or large listed companies.\nWell-developed legal skills (e.g. written and oral communication, advisory, drafting and negotiation).\nWell-developed knowledge in the areas of marketing/consumer law, privacy/spam and digital.
