Looking for a challenge in one of the world’s largest airfreight logistics organisations?

At IAG Cargo we are in the business of moving things. From antibiotics to groundbreaking tech, gold bullion to avocados and everything in between. We move cargo that positively impacts society worldwide. Whatever people need, wherever they are. At IAG Cargo we open the skies and fly the world to bring people the things they really need.

We are the logistics and cargo brand of International Airlines Group (Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, Level and Vueling). Powered by five airlines, our reach is truly global - but it’s the impact we make that defines us. At IAG Cargo, we believe in keeping the world’s economies turning, and do everything with determined attitudes, curious minds, collaborative actions and heartfelt pride. Join us at our globally recognised logistics business, that is Trusted to Deliver.

About the role

As an integral member of the IAG Cargo Transformation Office this role will be responsible for partnering with key business areas to accelerate key transformational change programmes. You will embed yourself within the IAG Cargo leadership teams to support the wider transformation plan, provide external perspective/challenge, and increase the bandwidth of the senior leaders you support by using data to drive insightful and innovate decision making.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure all programmes meet the agreed transformation agenda and drive execution, applying best practice across different streams where appropriate.

  • Agile deployment into tactical programmes to ensure transformation delivery on time and within budget, ensuring all risks mitigations are put in place.

  • Supporting business areas with external perspective and insightful, thorough analysis to recommend areas for improvement.

  • Responsible for continuous review of the portfolio of work across workstreams to help teams to identify dependencies, cross departmental issues and gaps to enable proactive issue resolution.

  • Analysing robust data sets and running bottom-up diagnostics on departments to highlight underlying opportunities to develop quality transformational plans, not just incremental delivery.

  • Challenge teams and processes to ensure targets are being met using an agile mindset.

  • Pro-actively manage the agendas and commissioning papers for key internal and external meetings, and in some cases chairing meetings or leading working groups or committees.

  • Continuously communicating the vision, objectives and milestones throughout the organisation and with wider partners and stakeholders.

  • Lead and deliver process improvement initiatives by analysing, redesigning, and implementing efficient, customer-focused business processes using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies across multiple projects, inc facilitation of workshops as required.

It's all about you

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

  • Able to balance strategic thinking, creativity, planning, project and process management, operations and administrative execution with exceptional communications capabilities and judgment.

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret large data sets and use the output to recommend, and crucially achieve buy in for, necessary improvements.

  • Strong programme management experience across large, complex programmes.

  • Bring structure, visibility, rigour and professionalism to transformation and performance in an open, collaborative culture.

  • Ability to work at pace in an ambiguous environment, good with process, with a bias towards execution.

We’ll treat you right

Wherever you work within IAG Cargo, you’ll play a part in helping us deliver what the world needs and join a diverse and inclusive business that’s making a difference.

As well as a competitive salary, bonus, we offer a range of benefits to support our colleagues, which include:

  • A hybrid environment with 3 days a week in the office and two from home.

  • From the day you join us, you’ll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways and group airlines. You’ll also receive up to 30 discounted ‘Hotline’ airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

  • Flexible bank holiday policy- Individuals not on shift have the flexibility to swap the statutory public holidays, with the days you choose to take off instead.

  • All our colleagues get access to LinkedIn learning and Rosetta Stone Language courses

  • For health and wellbeing we offer a free onsite gym facility as well as access to the UNMIND app and a community of Mental Health First Aiders

  • Access to discounts on Apple, Cinema tickets and loads of other goodies through Perks at work
