The Sr. Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting sales, inventory, and operations planning (SIOP) within the pipe, valve, and fittings (PVF) industry. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial distribution, market trends, and supply chain dynamics to ensure product availability, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory.\nHow You Will Help\nOwnership and responsibility for a key set of accounts. Requires close collaboration with customers\nCoordination of planning activities for large projects and ensuring successful outcomes:Lead end-to-end planning for demand-driven projects, defining scope, milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and tracking progress against plans to ensure on-time, on-target execution. \nMaintain project documentation, schedules, and status reporting, providing clear and timely updates to stakeholders on project health, dependencies, and key decisions.\n\nOwnership in the SIOP process by providing guidance on customer needs (from your key accounts), large projects you own, and overall channel intelligence from your Commercial partners\nDevelop, maintain, and update demand forecasts using historical sales, market trends, and customer insights.\nAnalyze demand patterns and variances to support decision-making in procurement, inventory, and sales planning.\nCollaborate closely with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to align forecasts with strategic objectives.\nPartner with Supply Planning team to ensure lead-time reliability and mitigate supply risks.\nMaintain accurate data in ERP and forecasting systems to support planning and reporting.\nTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and fill rates.\nIdentify and escalate risks related to demand variability, project-driven requirements, and market changes.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to forecasting and inventory management.\nWhat You Will Bring\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, or related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management; PVF or industrial distribution industry experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with ERP systems and forecasting software required.\nCompetencies\nDemonstrated successful collaboration directly with customers in a demand planning capacity.\nDemonstrated project management skills.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to translate data insights into actionable supply chain strategies.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and management of large datasets; familiarity with Power BI or other data visualization tools.\nWorking knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and procurement processes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels.\nProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.\nStrong team player with collaborative mindset and a commitment to fostering cross-functional partnerships\nSelf-motivated with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and drive results under pressure.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) demand planning solutions.\nAPICS CSCP, CPIM, or other supply chain certifications.\nCompensation\nThe base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $108,000.00 USD annually*.\n* The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this role.
