The individual in this position works closely with Global Sourcing and Design Engineering to ensure quality requirements are communicated, understood and implemented at supplier locations. The ideal candidate also has strong industry-related knowledge and problem solving capabilities.\nHow You Will Help\n\nEffectively communicate the company’s quality requirements to suppliers and act as the main point of contact with suppliers regarding quality issues.\n\nOperate in compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines and management expectations.\n\nSupport new supplier and/or new product qualification.\n\nPerform on-site supplier quality audits (system, product, process, internal, etc.) as necessary, to ensure suppliers have implemented an appropriate quality management system to ensure all design, quality, and production requirements can be met.\n\nDevelop test & inspection criteria for evaluation of field returns providing reports and resolution.\n\nIssue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as needed for product found nonconforming in inventory or as returned for warranty credit by customers.\n\nEffective evaluation of root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action.\n\nCollect data and compile appropriate KPI reports that show supplier quality trends and ultimately the effectiveness of the company’s supplier quality program.
