The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, AWS, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, and a background in Big Data solutions. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the monitoring, reliability and scalability of our services. This role currently supports a customer onsite in San Antonio, TX.\nIf you have a passion for DevOps and are interested in working with a dynamic and innovative team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.\nRequirements\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nSupport development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.\nSupport development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment.\nAutomate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services.\nManage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.\nCollaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.\nMonitor and troubleshoot production systems and resolve issues as necessary.\nContinuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.\nStay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure.\nSeamlessly transition between hands-on execution and team guidance, treating mentorship and team leadership as inherent components of senior-level impact.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nSecurity Clearance - A current Top Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. \nMust be willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.\n 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.\nStrong knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.\nStrong knowledge of AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.\nProficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.\nExperience with application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management.\nAbility to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.\nFamiliarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools.\nMust be comfortable in a terminal-based environment.\nProficient knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nUnderstanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.\nDemonstrated experience serving as a tech lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.\nMust be willing/able to help open/close the workspace during regular business hours as needed.\nMust be able to work on customer site in San Antonio, TX 5 days a week. The estimated salary range for this position is between $156,000 and $203,000.
