The position works closely with infrastructure, network, security, and other IT teams to maintain reliable and secure production environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLinux Systems Administration\nAdminister and maintain Linux operating systems across production and non-production environments.\nTroubleshoot operating system, application, performance, storage, networking, and service-related issues.\nPerform Linux OS installation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.\nManage OS patching, security updates, and remediation activities.\nConfigure and maintain system services, packages, repositories, users, permissions, and access controls.\nManage backup and recovery procedures for Linux systems.\nPerform backup validation and support system recovery when required.\nDevelop and maintain automation and operational scripts using Bash and Python.\nAutomate repetitive administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting tasks.\nInvestigate system logs and identify root causes of infrastructure incidents.\nApply Linux security best practices, system hardening, and vulnerability remediation.\nSupport capacity, performance, and availability management of Linux servers.\nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.\nVirtualization Administration\nAdminister and maintain virtualization environments based on KVM and VMware ESXi.\nProvision and configure virtual machines.\nConfigure virtual CPU, memory, storage, networking, and other VM resources.\nTroubleshoot hypervisor, virtual machine, storage, networking, and performance issues.\nPerform hypervisor installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.\nManage host and VM lifecycle activities.\nSupport patching and security updates of virtualization infrastructure.\nMonitor virtualization infrastructure availability, health, capacity, and resource utilization.\nSupport migration, recovery, and maintenance activities involving virtual machines and hypervisor hosts.\nParticipate in troubleshooting incidents affecting virtualized services and infrastructure.\nData Center & Hardware Administration\nAdminister and maintain physical server infrastructure, primarily Dell and HPE hardware.\nInstall, configure, provision, and decommission physical servers.\nPerform hardware troubleshooting and coordinate replacement of failed components.\nManage server firmware, BIOS, drivers, and hardware-related patching.\nPerform firmware and software patching/repatching of new and existing hardware.\nConfigure and manage server remote management interfaces such as Dell iDRAC and HPE iLO.\nMonitor physical server health, hardware alerts, temperatures, power usage, and component status.\nDiagnose server hardware issues involving CPU, memory, storage, RAID, networking, power supplies, and other components.\nWork with data center services and support teams during hardware installations, replacements, maintenance, and infrastructure changes.\nPerform rack-level activities including server installation, cabling, power connectivity, and hardware replacement.\nWork with Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and related power infrastructure.\nPerform remote and local power management of servers and infrastructure equipment.\nMonitor and control power consumption within the data center environment.\nSupport power planning and capacity management for racks and infrastructure.\nMaintain accurate records of physical infrastructure, server configuration, and hardware lifecycle.\nCoordinate with vendors and data center providers for hardware support and replacement activities.\nTroubleshooting & Operations\nProvide operational support for Linux, virtualization, and physical server infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot incidents from the operating system through the virtualization and hardware layers.\nPerform root cause analysis for recurring infrastructure issues.\nParticipate in infrastructure maintenance and planned change activities.\nSupport production incidents and service restoration activities.\nWork with networking, storage, security, application, and data center teams to resolve cross-platform issues.\nImplement preventative actions to improve infrastructure stability and availability.\nSecurity & Patch Management\nMaintain secure configuration of Linux systems and virtualization infrastructure.\nApply security patches, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation.\nSupport security hardening according to organizational standards.\nReview operating system and infrastructure vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation.\nEnsure privileged access and administrative permissions follow security requirements.\nSupport security audits and provide infrastructure-related technical information when required.\nRequirements\nStrong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills.\nExperience with Linux patch and package management.\nExperience with backup and recovery operations.\nBash and Python scripting and automation\nLinux security and system hardening.\nExperience administering KVM and VMware ESXi virtualization environments.\nVirtual machine provisioning and troubleshooting.\nPhysical server administration.\nExperience with Dell and HPE enterprise servers.\nHardware troubleshooting and component replacement.\nExperience working in data center environments.\nPreferred Knowledge\nConfiguration management and automation tools such as Ansible.\nInfrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.\nCentralized logging and log analysis.\nEnterprise backup solutions.\nSAN/NAS and enterprise storage concepts.\nLinux networking and firewall configuration.\nTCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLAN, and
