{"id":2499402,"url":"https://alion.io/job/iamwebbing-mobile-fraud-analyst","title":"Mobile Fraud Analyst","company":{"id":4430183,"name":"Iamwebbing","domain":"iamwebbing.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/iamwebbing","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Comeet","truth_index":null},"role":"Finance","role_family":"Finance","seniority":"middle","employment_type":null,"work_mode":"hybrid","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Bucharest, Romania"],"countries":["RO"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":19500,"max_usd":56000,"period":"year","method":"global_role_cell_scaled_by_country","sample_n":2699},"experience_years_min":3,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"ChatGPT","optional":false},{"name":"Claude","optional":false},{"name":"OpenAI","optional":false},{"name":"SQL","optional":false},{"name":"Power BI","optional":true},{"name":"Python","optional":true}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-10-11T14:21:05Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-11","last_verified_at":"2026-10-15T09:15:52Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":3,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":3},"description":"Description\nThe Opportunity:\nWe are looking for an experienced Mobile Fraud Analyst to join our team and take an active role in detecting, investigating, and preventing fraud across our mobile and roaming services.\nThis position is specifically focused on fraud within the mobile telecommunications industry, including cellular traffic, roaming, Voice, SMS, Data, SIM/eSIM, and international traffic.\nPrevious hands-on experience with fraud in the mobile/telecommunications industry is mandatory.\nWhat You'll Do:\nMonitor and analyze mobile traffic to identify suspicious activity, abnormal usage patterns, and potential fraud.\nInvestigate fraud cases across Voice, SMS, Data, Roaming, SIM/eSIM, and international traffic.\nIdentify telecom-specific fraud patterns, including unusual calling behavior, high-volume traffic, suspicious destinations, SIM misuse, traffic pumping, and other fraudulent activities.\nAnalyze CDRs and telecom usage records to identify anomalies and suspicious behavior.\nInvestigate fraud incidents and identify the root cause, affected subscribers, SIMs, devices, networks, and destinations.\nAssess the financial impact and exposure of fraud incidents.\nDefine, maintain, and continuously improve fraud detection rules, thresholds, alerts, and monitoring mechanisms.\nRecommend and coordinate preventive actions, including blocking or restricting suspicious subscribers, SIMs, destinations, networks, or traffic patterns.\nWork closely with Network, Roaming, Operations, Product, Finance, and other relevant teams during fraud investigations.\nTrack fraud trends and proactively identify new risks, vulnerabilities, and fraud patterns.\nPrepare reports and management-level summaries regarding fraud incidents, trends, financial exposure, and preventive actions.\nRequirements\nRequirements:\n3+ years of experience in Mobile/Telecom Fraud Analysis, Fraud Prevention, or a similar telecom fraud role.\nPrevious fraud-related experience within a Mobile Network Operator (MNO), MVNO, roaming provider, or telecommunications company - mandatory.\nStrong understanding of mobile telecommunications, cellular traffic, and roaming environments.\nExperience investigating Voice and SMS fraud.\nKnowledge of CAMEL, VoLTE, Diameter, OCS, and telecom charging systems.\nExperience working with CDRs and telecom usage data.\nStrong SQL and data analysis skills.\nAbility to analyze large volumes of traffic and identify abnormal patterns and anomalies.\nStrong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to independently manage fraud investigations from detection through root-cause analysis and mitigation.\nHigh attention to detail, ownership, and ability to respond quickly to critical fraud incidents.\nExperience working with AI tools (ChatGPT, OpenAI API, Claude, Gemini, etc.).\nStrong English communication skills.\nNice to Have:\nExperience with international roaming fraud and wholesale telecom environments.\nExperience working with TAP files and roaming records.\nFamiliarity with IMSI, ICCID, MSISDN, IMEI, MCC/MNC, VPLMN, and HPLMN.\nExperience working with Telecom Fraud Management Systems (FMS).\nExperience with Python, Power BI, or other analytical and automation tools.\nExperience developing automated fraud detection, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.\nAbout Webbing\nFounded in early 2010, Webbing is a global data MVNO that delivers enterprise grade, global connectivity and IoT services across more than 200 countries and 600+ mobile carriers' networks.
