The company operates internationally from offices across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and Africa.\n The SCADA Engineer is responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for solar PV projects. This role ensures the seamless integration of SCADA systems to monitor and control solar plant performance, supporting operational excellence and compliance with grid and regulatory requirements.\nDesign and specify SCADA systems for solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards\nOversee the integration of SCADA systems with plant components such as inverters, weather stations, and meters\nDevelop and configure HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and dashboards for real-time data visualization and reporting\nEnsure compliance with grid operator requirements for data exchange and grid control.\nSupport procurement by reviewing and approving technical specifications for SCADA hardware and software\nWork closely with suppliers and contractors to manage SCADA system installation, commissioning, and testing\nTroubleshoot SCADA-related issues during construction, commissioning, and operational phases.\nImplement cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from vulnerabilities and attacks.\nCoordinate with O&M (Operations & Maintenance) teams to ensure reliable long-term system performance\nPrepare technical documentation, including SCADA architecture diagrams, I/O lists, and user manuals\n Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or a related field\nPreferred: Master’s degree in Control Systems, Renewable Energy, or equivalent.\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in SCADA system design, integration, and troubleshooting, particularly in renewable energy projects\nExperience with utility-scale solar PV plants, substations, or renewable energy control systems in Europe\nStrong knowledge of SCADA system architecture, design, and protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, OPC, TCP/IP)\nHands-on experience with configuring, programming, and integrating SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Schneider Electric, Wonderware, or similar)\nFamiliarity with communication networks and infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, Ethernet, wireless networks, VPNs)\nProficiency in PLC/RTU programming and configuration\nUnderstanding of substation automation and communication with grid systems (TSOs/DSOs)\nKnowledge of cybersecurity standards and practices for SCADA systems\nExperience in HMI development and visualization tools\nAbility to interpret single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings, and control wiring schematics\nCertification in SCADA systems, industrial automation, or cybersecurity \nCertified Automation Professional (CAP), ISA certifications) is preferred\nTraining in IEC 61850 or similar grid communication protocols is advantageous\nproactive and system thinking\nEnglish: Proficient (C1 or higher)\nAdditional European languages (e.g., German, French, or Spanish): Intermediate proficiency is an advantage\n A truly international working environment with colleagues from all over the world\nAn open-minded, friendly, dynamic, and highly motivated team\nInteresting and challenging tasks, and thus a scope of professional growth and development\nWe encourage both team work and personal responsibility\nCompetitive remuneration and motivating benefits\nWe know that no candidate ticks every box.
