Specific service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position. Meets service and sales delivery standards and performs essential function to the quality and service standards developed by the agency.\n\nInteract with customers to provide information or response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints.\n\nMaintains and updates electronic and transactional files (if applicable).\n\nMaintains a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency, and company personnel to minimize potential for errors & omissions claims.\n\nReceives phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage. Completes changes/requests within 24 hours of receipt. Determines acceptability and placement, completes endorsements, and collects premium when applicable.\n\nReceives and reviews all terminations and cancellations to determine action to be taken and takes needed action within 72 hours of receipt.\n\nFollows up on outstanding claims and provides assistance in their resolution, as necessary.\n\nDocuments all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.\n\nSets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.\n\nMaintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.\n\nKeeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.\n\nPerforms other functions as assigned by management.\n\nSKILLS\nSpeaking - Talking to others.\n\nActive Listening - Listening to others, not interrupting, and asking good questions.\n\nService Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.\n\nReading Comprehension - Reading work-related information.\n\nMust be an assertive self-starter with the ability to influence others.\n\nShould have demonstrated effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues; receive and interpret complex information and respond appropriately.\n\nFull knowledge of insurance products and usages.\n\nKnowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures.\n\nAbility to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.\n\nEDUCATION & LICENSES\nPrefer high school diploma or equivalent.\n\nMust have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance.
