The project will deliver SPT’s goal to mature it’s BIM capability throughout the T3 period.\nThe BIM programme is a key enabler for SPT to deliver its T3 commitments.\nThe BIM programme is a large complex multi-disciplinary programme, which will be transformational in SPT’s drive to digitalise its business processes.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nLead and develop the BIM implementation programme ensuring consideration is given to business objectives and regulatory commitments in line with budget\nLead the UK element of the Iberdrola Global Practice Group for BIM ensuring the UK’s interests are prioritised in a global deployment\nProvide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams, driving the adoption of BIM processes, standards, systems, and ways of working across the organisation\nCreate and deliver the BIM transformation roadmap required to existing business model to implement transformational digital process\nAct as the accountable owner for programme scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation, ensuring successful delivery of agreed outcomes\nPlan structured engagement and collaboration with senior leaders, project teams, operational functions, supply chain partners, and external stakeholders to secure commitment and support for the BIM programme.\nDrive organisational change and business process transformation to embed digital information management capabilities and maximise the value of BIM-enabled delivery.\nMonitor and report programme performance, benefits, risks, and opportunities, providing regular updates and recommendations to governance boards and senior management.\nEnsure that BIM requirements are consistently embedded within project delivery, engineering, asset management, and operational processes.\nBuild organisational capability through the development of training, guidance, competency frameworks, and communities of practice.\nDelivery of Change Management Element of Programme utilising the PROSCI model for business change.\nManagement of business case and all necessary financial and project authorisations\nCreation and delivery of implementation plan to cover SPT (c1000 FTE)\nCreation and implementation of new business processes and ways of working in line with ISO 19650\nManagement of external consultants to deliver Best in Class Business Process\nMatrix Management of project team (5-10FTE)\nBe a Visible Role Model for BIM within SPT\nDeliver at Pace\nWhat you’ll bring\nDegree qualified in an engineering, IT or project management discipline or equivalent experience\nSignificant experience of leading and managing multi-disciplined teams.\nSignificant experience of programme managing large scale infrastructure and/or customer projects, and/or IT projects\nDetailed knowledge and experience of project and programme management processes.\nA working knowledge of the technical characteristics and workings of the Electricity Transmission System.\nA working knowledge of health, safety & environmental legislation, including CDM.\nA working knowledge of Contract Management (NEC)\nExperience and knowledge of the development and delivery phase of construction projects\nIT literate, comfortable with technology and AI initiatives\nUnderstanding of T3 regulatory settlement\nDeveloped negotiation and communication skills.\nStrong problem-solving ability for complex problems\nExperience of creating business cases with measurable benefits, and delivery of said business case\nWorking knowledge of BIM\nMinimum Criteria\nEngineering, Business or IT qualification and/ or postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc) or relevant experience. \nExperience in a project management environment with high levels of complexity, challenging target customers/consumers/users and complex stakeholder management. \nExperience of managing a complex programme of contracts, multiple work programmes and commercial contracts\nProven track record of delivering excellent customer service \nProven track record of stakeholder management and influencing across all levels of organisation \nExperience of working in a highly regulated, engineering and project delivery environment.\nExperience of strong business case creation and delivery of associated benefits \nExperience of working in a BIM environment \nDetailed knowledge of BIM infrastructure and processes. \nWhat’s in it for you\nAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
