Our team is building a dynamic network to meet the changing demands for electricity and increasingly, renewable electricity - safely, securely, and sustainably in the communities we serve.\nAt SP Energy Networks, we know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we are seeking new talent to join our team.\nHelp us create a better future, quicker\nRole\nResponsible for delivering the safe provision of one or more of the following activities with strict adherence to the appropriate regulatory and license obligations for the electricity distribution network:\nOperations, Fault Response & Maintenance Programmes\nCapital Investment Projects\nCustomer Connections and Diversions Projects\nWhat you’ll be doing\nDeliver the district ED2 business plan by the effective management of activities such as project management, contract management, operational engineering with safety document activities up to 33kV including plant and protection commissioning\nProvide excellent customer service by organising robust communication activities to enable the delivery of project plans affecting local communities, customers, and stakeholders with minimal disruption and achieve outstanding customer feedback scores\nPromote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety rules, instructions, procedures, and legislation are implemented and delivered through all activities.\nDevelop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours amongst the team through the mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members including trainees\nPeople management responsibilities for up to 5 project engineers and project coordinators.\nEnsure the accurate and timely capture and recording of data and the project closure processes within corporate systems including financial assurance.\nLead the integration of Operational Excellence principles in all undertakings\nWhat you’ll bring\nProject / programme management experience, with a strong performance and track record of driving and delivering projects including expert knowledge of CDM regulations and their application in project management.\nExpert knowledge of the regulatory environment including relevant output and incentive mechanisms and key business drivers in which SP Energy Networks operates.\nGeneral contract, commercial and regulatory awareness with the ability to achieve effective and efficient customer service and project delivery\nAbility to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgement to determine optimal solutions\nPossess a sufficient technical and/or operational experience as demonstrated by substantial experience in a relevant engineering role within an electrical networks business\nIt is desirable but not essential to hold, or have previously held, Senior Authorised Person status in the UK\nMinimum Criteria\nHNC or Degree in Electrical Engineer (or suitably equivalent subject)\nSubstantial experience in a project delivery role\nExcellent computer literacy and competency with SAP systems and processes\nA strong desire to lead people and project teams\nWhat’s in it for you\nAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
