The Senior Project Manager will provide recommendations on costs, schedules and other factors for construction and operations of proposed or existing energy facilities. He or she will also manage project activities, including budgeted cost, schedule scope, risk management, resources, quality management; during the engineering, procurement, and construction phases of Company's new projects.\nResponsibilities:\nAccountable for developing design, procurement and construction contracts during project execution phase.\n\nDirects project engineers and construction site managers to ensure that project milestones are met safely, on schedule, and within budget.\n\nResponsible for negotiation and management of engineering, procurement, and construction (\"EPC\") activities.\n\nResponsible for owner's project management during project implementation phases on multiple wind, solar and BESS energy projects.\n\nLeads a team of professionals who provide technical expertise and project support through design, construction, commissioning and operations.\n\nProvides periodic updates to company senior management group on project activities, progress and issues.\n\nDevelop a safety awareness culture, emphasized at the personal workplace, within project designs and throughout construction and operation.\n\nAssists with technical due diligence in conjunction with other departments.\n\nAccountable for effective forecasting of Company's capital budget spending on assigned projects.\n\nResponsible for providing support to plant operations, including plant and process improvements, equipment acquisition, plant breakdown analysis, and recommending corrective actions.\n\nEnsures process feedback mechanisms are implemented and utilized for identifying process efficiencies and improvements, including process and functional quality audits, and focusing on Company strategic initiatives.\n\nResponsible for ensuring project closing and handing over to Operations.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related study plus 10 years’ experience in project engineering and construction of electric generation projects.\n\n5 years’ experience in project development or management.\n\nDemonstrated oral and written communication, effective negotiating and dispute resolution skills.\n\nProficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and Thermo-flow GT Pro/GT Master.\n\nAbility to travel up to 50%\n\nPMP Certification from a recognized institution.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nA working knowledge of construction law, contracts, claims avoidance, insurance, and contract administration.\n\nOSHA certificate.\n\nRisk management certification from a recognized institution\n\nNegotiation training/certificate from a recognized institution\n\nBehavioral Competencies:\nGrowth & Continuous Improvement\n\nInitiative & Change\n\nFocused on Results\n\nCustomer Centric (internal and/or external)\n\nCommunication\n\nCollaboration\n\nLeadership (people managers/leaders)\n\n#LI-NB1\n#LI-office\nCompany:\nAVANGRID POWER, LLCMobility Information\nPlease note that any applicant who is not a citizen of the country of the vacancy will be subject to compliance with the applicable immigration requirements to legally work in that country.\nAt Avangrid we provide fair and equal employment and advancement opportunities for all employees and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, protected veteran status or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.\nIf you are an individual with a disability or a disabled veteran who is unable to use our online tool to search for or to apply for jobs, you may request a reasonable accommodation by contacting our People and Organization department at .\nAvangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties.
