The SHPD program assists state Veterans homes in providing care to eligible Veterans. Through grants to community organizations, the program delivers rapid rehousing, homelessness prevention, and supportive services that allow Veterans to maintain stable housing and rebuild their lives.\nIbility supports the Department of Veterans Affairs in ensuring that SHPD grantees operate effectively, comply with program requirements, and deliver meaningful outcomes for Veterans and their families.\nThis role goes beyond a traditional audit function. Our team performs investigative analysis, program evaluation, and financial, compliance, and operational reviews to ensure the program is operating as intended and that Veterans are receiving the highest quality support possible.\nThis role requires the ability to travel one to two weeks per month to perform onsite activities.\nTeam Expectations:\nThe SHPD program is a mission-driven effort supporting Veterans experiencing housing instability. project needs or challenges.\nContribute to building a strong and supportive team culture.\nWhat You Will be Doing:\nReviewing SHPD case files and program documentation to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or patterns that may indicate financial, compliance, or operational concerns.\nConducting investigative analysis of grantee activities rather than simply performing checklist-style compliance reviews.\nPerforming detailed analysis using large and complex Excel workbooks to identify trends, anomalies, and performance indicators.\nBuilding pivot tables and performing structured data analysis to support findings and recommendations.\nEvaluating whether grantees are delivering appropriate supportive services in alignment with VA program guidance.\nDocumenting findings clearly and developing evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.\nProactive and timely discussion of site visit concerns with the team leadership and clients including potential or reported fraud, waste, and abuse.\nProactive and timely discussion of complex or difficult findings with grantee leadership while maintaining professionalism, clarity, and support for program improvement.\nParticipating in team discussions to share insights, trends, and lessons learned across grantees.\nHelping foster collaboration and community within the Ibility SHPD review team to ensure knowledge sharing and mutual support.\nWhat You Will Need to be Successful:\nBachelor’s degree required (business, public administration, social services, or related field preferred).\n3+ years of experience in program oversight, grants management, auditing, compliance review, or program analysis.\nStrong analytical thinking and the ability to investigate program data to identify underlying issues.\nAdvanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large workbooks and create pivot tables to support analysis.\nProficiency in Word and providing high quality and relevant audit reports.\nExperience reviewing grant-funded programs or federal program operations is strongly preferred.\nAbility to discuss complex or difficult findings with grantees in a constructive and professional manner.\nAbility to possess and initiate strong attention to detail skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to balance independence with collaboration and proactively support fellow team members when needed.\nAbility to travel one to two weeks per month to perform onsite activities.\nAbility to obtain Public Trust Clearance.\nHealthcare or Healthcare Auditing background is strongly
