Key Responsibilities:\nResearching industries and competitors to identify and assess potential targets that fit IBM's strategic priorities\nHelping prepare presentations and investment memos for IBM's senior leadership\nBuilding and updating financial models to evaluate acquisition targets, investment returns, and deal structures\nSupporting due diligence by reviewing data room materials, tracking open items, and summarizing findings across legal, finance, tax, and business unit workstreams\nKeeping deal timelines and workstream trackers up to date\nActively enrolled in an MBA program\nStrong financial modeling and valuation skills\nStrong Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills\nAvailable for a full-time internship in summer 2027\nOne or more years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, software strategy or product management, or technology consulting.\nTechnology M&A deal experience.\nInterest in and experience with the enterprise technology sector, including enterprise software, AI, data, hybrid cloud, and IT services, through product management, strategy, corporate development, or a comparable field.\nFamiliarity with PitchBook or FactSet. .
