Job Description Job Title: Cryogenic Assembly Engineer. Location: Poughkeepsie, New York, USA Job Type: Full-time, On-site Responsibilities: Assemble, install, operate, and maintain complex cryogenic equipment used to cool quantum devices. Work independently or collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technicians to support IBM's quantum development program. Perform mechanical assembly by following assembly drawings, bills of materials, procedures, and related documentation. Operate and maintain cryogenic and high-vacuum equipment. Install devices, wiring, and associated components in cryogenic environments. Support the operation and maintenance of dilution refrigerators and other cryogenic systems. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Experience in mechanical assembly. Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, bills of materials, procedures, and technical documentation. Ability to use hand tools. Experience operating or maintaining cryogenic or high-vacuum equipment. Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Experience operating and maintaining dilution refrigerators.
