The person should have deep knowledge of either iOS development using Swiftor Android development using Kotlin/Java, together with a strong understanding of both mobile ecosystems.\nThis role is critical for the successful launch and ongoing evolution of our mobile app. The Mobile App Team Lead will be responsible for managing the mobile development team, staying fully on top of all mobile-related activities, driving technical decisions, ensuring delivery timelines are met, and owning the release process for both the Apple App Storeand Google Play Store.\nThe role requires strong technical oversight, delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, DevOps, Security, Compliance, and business stakeholders.\nThe person must be able to lead with minimal supervision, take ownership of the mobile application, break down work, assign tasks, remove blockers, challenge estimates, and ensure the team delivers high-quality mobile releases.\nResponsibilities\n1. Team Leadership\nLead, mentor, and guide the mobile development team across iOS and Android.\nTake ownership of the team’s day-to-day execution, delivery progress, technical output, and priorities.\nEnsure all team members have clear responsibilities, assigned tasks, and agreed delivery timelines.\nBreak down mobile development work into clear technical tasks and assign them effectively across the team.\nMonitor progress closely and proactively identify risks, blockers, delays, and dependencies.\nAct as the first escalation point for mobile-related technical and delivery issues.\nSupport onboarding, knowledge sharing, coaching, and continuous improvement of team members.\nPromote ownership, accountability, collaboration, and high engineering standards within the team.\n2. Mobile Technical Leadership\nProvide technical direction across both iOS and Android mobile applications.\nLead technical design sessions and ensure mobile solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business needs.\nConduct code reviews and ensure best practices, coding standards, and clean architecture principles are followed. \nChallenge technical decisions where needed and ensure the right implementation approach is selected.\nSupport developers with complex technical issues and ensure proper solutions are implemented.\nEnsure technical decisions are documented and communicated clearly to Product, QA, Backend, DevOps, and other stakeholders.\nEnsure consistency between iOS and Android functionality, user experience, performance, and release quality.\n3. Mobile App Development & Architecture\nOversee the design, development, and maintenance of the mobile application across iOS and Android.\nEnsure the iOS app follows modern Apple development standards using Swift and relevant Apple frameworks.\nEnsure the Android app follows modern Android development standards using Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and related technologies.\nDefine and enforce suitable mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVP, or Clean Architecture.\nEnsure proper integration with RESTful APIs, backend services, third-party SDKs, authentication flows, and mobile data layers.\nWork closely with backend teams to ensure APIs are reliable, performant, secure, and suitable for mobile use cases.\nEnsure the mobile app is built with scalability, maintainability, performance, and security in mind.\nSupport platform-specific decisions related to iOS and Android capabilities, limitations, and best practices.\n4. App Store & Google Play Ownership\nOwn and manage the release process for the mobile app on the Apple App Storeand Google Play Store.\nCoordinate app submissions, app updates, version management, release notes, screenshots, store assets, and required metadata.\nEnsure compliance with Apple App Store and Google Play Store policies, guidelines, privacy requirements, and review processes.\nWork with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Legal, and Security teams to ensure store content and app requirements are properly aligned.\nMonitor app review feedback, rejection reasons, approval status, and required remediation actions.\nTrack mobile app ratings, reviews, crash reports, user feedback, and store performance.\nDrive continuous improvement based on app store feedback, analytics, production issues, and customer experience.\n5. System Performance, Quality & Reliability\nEnsure the mobile application delivers a smooth, stable, secure, and high-performance user experience.\nIdentify and resolve mobile performance bottlenecks, crashes, memory issues, responsiveness issues, and platform-specific bugs.\nWork closely with QA and QA Automation teams to support mobile testing, regression testing, integration testing, and release validation.\nEnsure proper test coverage, including unit testing, UI testing, integration testing, and automated testing where applicable.\nSupport performance testing, production-readiness reviews, and release sign-off activities.\nLead or support incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for mobile production issues.\nEnsure production issues are properly analyzed, documented, and followed up with preventive actions.\n6. Cross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Product Owners and Product Managers to understand requirements, define scope, and agree delivery timelines.\nCollaborate with UI/UX Designers to deliver intuitive, user-friendly, and consistent mobile experiences.\nWork with Backend Engineers to ensure API readiness, integration quality, and performance.\nPartner with QA teams to ensure proper test planning, mobile regression coverage, and release validation.\nWork with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, build automation, environments, and deployment processes.\nCollaborate with Security teams to ensure mobile security, authentication, secure storage, and data protection requirements are met.\nWork with Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and business stakeholders where mobile app store, regulatory, or customer communication requirements are involved.\n7. Delivery & Project Ownership\nDrive sprint planning, task breakdown, estimation, and delivery tracking for the mobile team.\nMaintain clear communication with Product and management regarding delivery progress, risks, dependencies and blockers.\nEnsure mobile releases are planned, tested, approved, and delivered according to agreed timelines.\nChallenge unclear requirements, incomplete designs, missing dependencies, or unrealistic timelines where needed.\nEnsure technical documentation, implementation plans, release notes, and knowledge sharing materials are maintained.\nPrioritize tasks effectively and lead the team toward achieving delivery milestones.\nTake ownership of mobile delivery outcomes, not only technical implementation.\n8. Engineering Standards & Process Improvement\nEnforce mobile coding standards, code review processes, documentation, and technical governance.\nImprove mobile development processes, release processes, estimation accuracy, and delivery efficiency.\nSupport the adoption of CI/CD, automation, mobile testing frameworks, monitoring tools, and productivity improvements.\nEncourage the use of AI assisted development tools to improve speed, code quality, documentation, and testing.\nIdentify recurring issues and propose practical improvements to increase quality, stability, and speed of delivery.\nPromote a culture of ownership, accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n7+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.\nProven experience of 2+ years as a Mobile Team Lead, Technical Lead, or similar role.\nStrong hands-on experience in either iOS development using Swift or Android development using Kotlin/Java.\nStrong understanding of both iOS and Android ecosystems.\nExperience managing or leading mobile engineers across iOS and Android.\nExperience publishing and maintaining apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.\nStrong understanding of App Store and Google Play release processes, review guidelines, versioning, and production release management.\nExperience with RESTful APIs, JSON, third-party SDKs, and backend service integrations.\nStrong understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVP, or Clean Architecture.\nExperience with Git, version control,
