Reporting to the Sr. Director, Platform Engineering, this role will lead a team of platform engineers responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms - running workloads across hybrid infrastructure focused on outcomes.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nLead and manage a team of platform engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintainingcloud-native infrastructure across AWS and on-prem Linux/Kubernetes environments.\n\nLead the architectural design of platform solutions across hybrid (cloud and on-prem) environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security best practices are incorporated.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and ensure successful delivery of platform projects.\n\nDrive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and practices, leveragingtools such as Terraform and Pulumito automate and standardize deployments across cloud and on-prem.\n\nEstablish and maintainrobust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of the platform across cloud and on-prem.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.\n\nChampion a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the Platform Engineering Team and across the organization.\n\nThe ideal candidate has\n8+ years of experience with major Cloud vendors including AWS, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, with strong expertisein AWS.\n\nHands-on experience operating cloud-native workloads on Kubernetes in both cloud and on-premises Linux environments.\n\nProven experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment with a record of project delivery and architecture of production systems.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of cloud-native and platform architecture principles, best practices, and design patterns.\n\nHands-on experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, and Jenkins.\n\nProficiencyin container orchestration technologies, especially Kubernetes.\n\nStrong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, security, and compliance requirements across hybrid environments.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.\n\nThorough understanding of the financial markets a plus.\n\nAWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, and/or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD), or equivalent, are highly desirable.\n\nThis position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.\nSalary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)\nAt Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market-informed total rewards program.
