In this role, you willbe responsible formanaging and improving our highly automated Linux-based systems and platforms while supporting our broader technology infrastructure with a focus on automation.You'llbe working collaboratively with our technology and operations teams to ensure the highest levels of system performance, security, and availability.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nManaging and improving our Linux-based infrastructure with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.\n\nDesigning, deploying, andmaintainingon-premises Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.\n\nDeveloping andmaintainingsystem-level software, middleware, and APIs to support internal platforms and services.\n\nAutomating system workflows and infrastructure tasks using Python, Bash, and configuration management tools likeSaltStack.\n\nBuilding andmaintainingRPM packages and internal software repositories.\n\nCollaborating with Application Support (SRE), Development, and Security teams to ensure secure, automated CI/CD and platform integration.\n\nDiagnosing and resolving complex system-level issues involving the OS, network, or container runtime.\n\nImplementing hardened security configurations, including system hardening, secure communications, and identity/access integration.\n\nParticipating in an on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure services.\n\nDocumentingarchitectures, tools, and operational processes to support long-term maintainability.\n\nThe ideal candidate has\n5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration and infrastructure/platform engineering.\n\nProduction experience managing Kubernetes, preferably in bare-metal or on-premises environments (e.g., withkubeadm, RKE, or OpenShift).\n\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) in production environments.\n\nStrong scripting and automation skills in Python and Bash.\n\nIn-depth knowledge of Linux internals, kernel tuning, and performance diagnostics.\n\nHands-on experience withSaltStack(preferred), Puppet, or Ansible for configuration management.\n\nFamiliarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki.\n\nSolid understanding of core infrastructure protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, NTP/PTP, DHCP, etc.).\n\nExperience managing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.\n\nStrong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.\n\nYou'llreally stand out with:\nCertifications such as RHCE or LFCE.\n\nExperience with container runtimes (containerd, Docker) and registry management.\n\nKnowledge ofGitOpsworkflows or tools likeArgoCDor Flux.\n\nBackground in security best practices and compliance (e.g., CIS benchmarks, STIGs).\n\nPrior experience in highly regulated or low-latency environments.\n\nBenefits and Perksof working for Cboe Global Markets\nWe value the total wellbeing of our people - including health, financial,personaland social wellness.
