This location benefits from proximity to major highways, making it easily accessible for employees\nThe OPx site provides a balance of high-quality office space, advanced facilities, and an environment conducive to productivity and growth.\nRole Overview\nThe Senior Tax Analyst plays a key role on Cboe'sFinance - Tax team, ensuring compliance with U.S., state and local, and foreign income and indirect tax laws. This role prepares tax calculations, estimated tax payments, returns, and tax authority correspondence, along with U.S. and non-U.S. tax provision calculations, reconciliations, and journal entries. The Senior Tax Analyst identifiesprocess improvements, uses technology to increase efficiency, and partners strategically with business leaders to reduce risk and strengthen compliance. This role works independently on assignments of moderate complexity, serves as a go-to resource for less experienced colleagues, and reports to the Tax Director.\nYour responsibilities will be:\nIncome Tax Provision (ASC 740)\nPrepare quarterly and annual income tax provisions, including annual effective tax rate calculations and reconciliations\n\nPrepare and maintainbook-to-tax reconciliations and workpapers supporting permanent and temporary differences\n\nMaintain, roll forward, and reconcile income tax balance sheet accounts, including current payable and receivable accounts, uncertain tax position reserves, and deferred tax assets and liabilities\n\nMaintain the Excel provision model, load attributes into OneSource Tax Provision, and reconcile results\n\nPrepare income tax journal entries and complete monthly sign-off sheets covering provision calculations and account rollforwards\n\nPrepare the annual return-to-provision analysis, period-over-period variance analyses, and annual statutory tax provisions for Cboe'sregulated entities\n\nIncome and Franchise Tax Compliance\nPrepare book-to-tax adjustments and supporting workpapers for U.S. federal and state income tax returns\n\nPrepare estimated tax analyses and remit required payments\n\nIndirect Tax\nReview monthly sales tax billing, file sales tax returns, and remit required payments\n\nPrepare and file GST and VAT returnsand remit related payments\n\nReconcile sales tax accounts monthly\n\nControls, Controversy and Administration\nPrepare responses to federal, state, and local tax authority inquiries, support examinations, and respond to external auditor requests\n\nMaintain the Tax Calendar and Cboe Tax checklists in Confluence\n\nWork within the Tax Risk Control Matrix and SOX narrative, maintainingpreparer and reviewer segregation\n\nThe ideal candidate has\nBachelor's degree in accounting and at least five years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax required; Master's degree in accountingor taxation with at least three years of experience also considered\n\nCPA license, active or eligible, preferred\n\nExperience in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, ASC 740 income tax accounting, and multi-jurisdictionindirect tax, including sales and use tax, preferred\n\nPublic accounting experience preferred\n\nProficiencyin OneSource Tax Provision preferred\n\nIntermediate skills in Microsoft Excel\n\nAbility to work independently on specialized assignments of moderate complexity\n\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines\n\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills with close attention to detail\n\nBenefits and Perks of working for Cboe Global Markets\nWe value the total wellbeing of our people - including health, financial, personal and social wellness.
