You will design, build, and operate services that power the iCapital platform.\nYou will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and technical partners throughout the development lifecycle. Our service-oriented platform primarily uses Scala, Ruby, and Python, but prior experience with these languages is not required. We value strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn new technologies.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based services and APIs.\nTranslate product and business needs into practical technical solutions.\nOwn projects from design through production rollout and ongoing support.\nWrite maintainable code and contribute to technical design decisions.\nParticipate in code reviews and improve engineering standards.\nBuild testing, observability, security, and operational readiness into services.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery, investigation, and learning.\nQualifications\n8+ years experience with a modern programming language such as Ruby, Scala, Python, Java, or TypeScript.\n5+ years experience building or integrating with APIs and backend services.\nKnowledge of relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling.\nFamiliarity with automated testing, version control, and modern software delivery practices.\nUnderstanding of cloud application development and distributed systems.\nStrong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools to plan work, refine specifications, delegate tasks, and validate implementation quality.\nBenefits\nThe base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $200,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
