This position works closely with controls engineers, electrical technicians, project managers, manufacturing, and customers to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective automation solutions.\nThe ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving challenging manufacturing problems while working in a fast-paced project environment.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign custom automation equipment and robotic systems using 3D CAD software. \nDevelop complete machine layouts, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.\nDesign robotic cells, machine tending systems, conveyors, material handling systems, fixtures, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), safety guarding, structural weldments. \nPerform tolerance stack-up and mechanical calculations.\nReview customer specifications and support project estimating.\nCoordinate engineering activities with project managers.\nRelease manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).\nSupport procurement, fabrication, assembly, debug, and machine runoff.\nParticipate in customer design reviews, FATs, SATs, installations, and commissioning.\nDevelop engineering standards and continuously improve design practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.\n2-10+ years of machine design experience (entry-level candidates with strong internships considered).\nProficiency with Inventor, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.\nKnowledge of pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, servo applications, linear motion systems, and structural design.\nStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with FANUC, ABB, or collaborative robots.\nExperience designing EOAT, conveyors, fixtures, machine tending systems, and automation equipment.\nKnowledge of GD&T, machine safety standards, PDM systems, and FEA or motion simulation.\nKey Competencies\nMechanical aptitude\nCreative
