The employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive materials and maintain strict confidentiality due to the nature of the position.\n\n***Salary in the range of $100,000 - $140,000 dependent on location and experience level***\n\nEssential Job Duties:\n\nPerform conflicts of interest searches and due diligence checks for incoming attorneys, staff, clients and matters\n\nAnalyze, review, and approve conflicts reports and identify possible areas of concern\n\nManage all client/matter intake data and ensure data is accurate and adheres to established policies and procedures\n\nIdentify misinformation and adjust search terms as needed to produce accurate results\n\nCollaborate with the Risk and Information Governance team to ensure all processes are properly documented, stored, and easily accessible\n\nProvide insight and suggestions for process improvement and stay abreast industry trends related to the conflict of interest process\n\nManage efforts to resolve conflicts and communicate resolutions with attorneys in the firm\n\nDraft and review waiver and engagement letters as directed by attorneys in all offices\n\nDevelop screens for possible conflicts to ensure appropriate individuals do not access conflicting client and matter data\n\nLiaise with firm attorneys to identify business conflicts and take necessary steps to document and resolve those conflicts\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\nJuris Doctorate (J.D.) and active license to practice law in the United States required\n\nTwo years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney or equal experience practicing law\n\nStrong understanding of risk management and legal relationships\n\nAbility to independently identify conflicts of interest and make decisions to resolve those conflicts\n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\n\nStrong research skills and ability to problem solve and analyze complex data\n\nAbility to manage complex legal information, document processes, and suggest solutions\n\nStrong interpersonal skills to communicate with both internal and external clients at all levels of the organization\n\nAbility to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity as appropriate to each situation and demonstrate a high level of professionalism\n\nAvailable to work remotely, after hours, as needed, and quickly produce results\n\nProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and ability to adapt to new software\n\nMust be able to perform all essential duties\n\nOther Requirements:\nThe requirements described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
