SUPO, where required)\n\nWhy this role matters:\nAs an AOCS Engineer, you'll bring attitude and orbit control expertise to a constellation of 40+ Earth-observation satellites. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities\nAnalyze and improve on-orbit performance of AOCS components across a constellation of 40+ satellites\n\nLead market studies and trade evaluations for new ADCS and propulsion hardware, and introduce new AOCS components into satellites\n\nDefine, execute, and maintain verification procedures for AOCS components\n\nLead or contribute to AOCS anomaly investigations across multiple engineering domains to identify root causes\n\nMaintain and improve operational procedures related to AOCS\n\nDrive process improvements that affect the full in-orbit satellite constellation\n\nPartner with satellite operations, radar, mechanical, electronics, manufacturing, and product teams\n\nWhat we're looking for\nMust haves:\nBS/MS in Physics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field\n\n2-4 years of experience designing, operating, or testing AOCS equipment or spacecraft hardware\n\nStrong understanding of AOCS fundamentals: rigid body motion, differential equations, coordinate transformations, 3D geometry, feedback loops, state estimation\n\nSolid understanding of astrodynamics and attitude determination and control principles\n\nWorking knowledge of Python and Git\n\nExperience with electronic lab hardware (power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.)\n\nStrong troubleshooting and analytical skills\n\nNice to haves:\nExperience in multi-disciplinary environments (electrical, controls, mechanical, thermal)\n\nExperience with flight dynamics software or libraries (e.g. STK, GMAT)\n\nExperience working with GNSS\n\nProficiency in C++\n\nApplication Process\nTalent Acquisition screening (remote)\n\nHiring Manager interview (remote)\n\nTake-home technical task and panel interview (remote)\n\nSystem thinking workshop (on-site)\n\nBehavioural interview to assess cultural fit (on-site)\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you'll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
