As IT Systems Lead, you’ll lead a team of 7 engineers in Finland and Poland who own our client platform, collaboration and AI systems, and identity management for users in 10+ countries. Your mandate is to turn a setup that grew fast into one consolidated, secure and scalable foundation, in an environment shaped by defence and national security requirements. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\n Your day-to-day responsibilities\nOwn the systems strategy and roadmap across client platforms, AI systems, collaboration systems and identity management, and give the team a consistent technical direction\n\nLead the consolidation of a fast-grown toolset into a standardised, secure and scalable platform\n\nKeep the client platform highly secure and aligned with industry best practices, adapting systems as business needs change\n\nKeep things running: incident and problem management, escalation, monitoring and SLAs\n\nEmbed business continuity, patch management and logging into how systems are built and run\n\nSupport security audits, accreditations and certifications\n\nWork with business stakeholders, product teams and neighbouring IT teams (IT Infrastructure, IT Support and Assets, IT Steering and Enablement) to balance priorities, compliance and speed\n\nOwn the systems budget, manage suppliers and consultants, and contribute to quarterly financial planning\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nMust haves:\n5+ years leading an IT systems or infrastructure team, with hands-on technical experience\n\nDeep expertise in at least one major collaboration suite (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace) and tools such as Slack and Atlassian\n\nStrong experience with identity and access management (e.g. Okta, Entra ID) and endpoint management\n\nExperience leading distributed, multi-country teams and managing vendors and budgets\n\nExperience using AI tools in operations and automation, and assessing AI-related systems needs\n\nA proactive, pragmatic decision-maker who finds simple solutions to complex problems, even with incomplete information\n\nEligibility to obtain and maintain a high-level national security clearance in Finland\n\nNice to haves:\nExperience with EDR tools\n\nLinux experience\n\nExperience with security frameworks or accreditations (e.g. ISO 27001)\n\nAerospace, defence or manufacturing background\n\nApplication Process\nTA Screen (30 mins)\n\nInterview with Hiring Manager (30 mins)\n\nTechnical Deep-Dive Interview with Team (60 mins)\n\nStakeholder & Security Alignment Interview (30 mins)\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
