We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\n Your day-to-day responsibilities\nTeam Specific\nSoftware and Hardware Delivery: Delivering ground segments (the \"brain\" of satellite operations, processing satellite data into images) to Mission business customers.\n\nTechnical Support: Providing technical support for both satellite and ground segment systems for Mission customers. Issue analysis and problem solving.\n\nMaintenance and Upgrades: Performing planned maintenance and software upgrades for customer on-premise systems (actual software development is handled by the Engineering organization).\n\nContinuous Improvement: Contributing to continuous improvement to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the team’s mission.\n\nRole Specific\nEnsures ground segment systems reliably deliver satellite data and imagery to Mission customers.\n\nMaintains uninterrupted operations by proactively supporting and upgrading customer on-premise environments.\n\nRapidly resolves technical issues to minimize downtime and protect mission-critical services.\n\nBuilds trust with customers through responsive technical support and seamless deployments.\n\nDrives continuous improvement by collaborating across teams and refining operational processes.\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nTechnical Expertise: A strong dual foundation in both software development and DevOps principles, at least 5 years of professional experience with a focus on deployment, configuration, and operational management of software services, particularly within Kubernetes. Experience taking technical responsibility for a high-availability service.\n\nCommunication: Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English, enabling effective collaboration within an international team and with customer technical representatives.\n\nQualifications: A Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.\n\nEnd-to-End System Diagnosis: Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues across the entire stack-from underlying hardware and all layers of networking, up through vSphere, Linux, Kubernetes, and the applications themselves.\n\nAdaptability: Ability to participate in on-call rotation after 6 months onboarding is expected.\n\nThe Technical Stack that you will be working with: Kubernetes (SUSE Rancher), Helm, on-prem/hybrid cloud deployments (VMware), Infrastructure as Code and automation (Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, Go), secrets management (OpenBao/Vault), Grafana observability, containerized PostgreSQL and InfluxDB administration, and REST API integrations.\nApplication Process\nTalent Attraction interview\n\nTechnical Task\n\nTechnical Interview\n\nInterview with Director Delivery & Support\n\nInterview with SVP Missions\n\nReferences\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
