SUPO)\n\nThe Mission of the Senior Electronics Engineer\nYou ensure that our AOCS system delivers reliable and consistent performance through innovative power electronics design and precision control systems. Beyond this, you will also have the opportunity to design other high-speed, high-power, and high-reliability electronics supporting ICEYE's growing constellation of diverse spacecraft.\nThis role is within the Attitude and Orbit Control domain where we are responsible for developing and maintaining the power electronics and control systems that enable our AOCS capabilities.\nYour job will be to work closely with production teams, operations teams, and software teams to ensure smooth and performant operation of our propulsion systems in development and deployed environments. Expect to be involved in the complete lifecycle of the system - from design phases of next-generation propulsion architectures to maintenance and optimization of existing systems we and our customers operate.\nWe move fast. At ICEYE, you are expected to understand the whole system - not just your slice of it - and to iterate quickly. Designs you work on today can be launching to orbit within months, not years. This is an environment where your decisions carry real weight and your work becomes tangible faster than almost anywhere else in the industry.\nYou will have a direct impact on mission success as the performance and reliability of our AOCS electronics directly affect the operational capabilities we deliver to our customers and the overall performance of our fleet.\nWho We Are\n\n ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We deliver persistent monitoring capabilities to detect and respond to changes in any location on Earth.\nICEYE owns the world's largest and most advanced SAR (synthetic aperture radar) satellite constellation. To our customers we provide intelligence with unmatched quality, latency and revisit times, in any weather, day or night. To governments who choose to operate their own constellation we provide this proven capability as a sovereign system.\nICEYE-built constellations serve customers in defence and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance and emergency management. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities:\nOwn the full design lifecycle of flight hardware - from first schematics and component selection through bring-up, functional and environmental testing, launch, and on-orbit operations - creating a tight learning and improvement loop at every stage\n\nDevelop a deep understanding of the complete AOCS system, including the interplay between power electronics, control systems, and the spacecraft subsystems they drive\n\nLead the design of power electronics and control electronics for AOCS hardware, including power conversion, distribution, and precision control circuits\n\nDesign and optimize power electronics for efficiency, thermal management, and performance across all operational environments\n\nDevelop precision analog and data acquisition circuits for power measurement, voltage/current monitoring, signal conditioning, and feedback control\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across the full lifecycle - design, prototyping, manufacturing, field operation, and on-orbit anomalies\n\nWork closely with firmware engineers, FPGA engineers, software developers, and mechanical and thermal engineers to ensure seamless integration\n\nMentor junior engineers to continuously raise the bar on design and testing practices\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nMust haves:\nMSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience in high-voltage electronics\n\nProven expertise in high-voltage electronics (250V+) design, high-voltage topologies, switching architectures, power management, and low-noise power supply design\n\nAdvanced analog circuit design: precision measurement, sensor interface and signal conditioning, low-noise amplifier design, and transimpedance circuits\n\nAdvanced proficiency with circuit simulation and PCB design tools like, LTSpice and Altium.\n\nUnderstanding of high-speed signal design: signal integrity, timing analysis, and EMI/EMC principles for noise mitigation in high-voltage switching environments\n\nExperience designing embedded control hardware for power electronics: microcontroller interfaces (ADC, PWM, GPIO), protection circuits (overcurrent/overvoltage detection), fault handling, and safe-state transitions\n\nExperience designing serial communication hardware (RS485, UART) with proper isolation, impedance matching, and protection\n\nAbility to work closely with firmware engineers to define hardware interfaces, protection circuits, telemetry acquisition and develop joint verification test cases\n\nExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams\n\nNice to haves:\nHands-on experience with environmental testing (vibration, thermal, radiation, vacuum) and harsh operating conditions\n\nFundamental understanding of control systems, feedback loops, and closed-loop circuit design\n\nExperience designing solenoid valve driver circuits for high-current on/off switching, including flyback protection and inductive load management\n\nExperience with wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies (GaN, SiC MOSFETs)\n\nExperience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and cost optimization\n\nProficiency in programming languages (C, Python) for firmware integration or hardware characterization\n\nApplication process\nTalent Acquisition Interview\n\nHiring Manager Interview\n\nTechnical Interview (onsite or virtual), including a Technical Challenge\n\nHiring Team Interview\n\nOffer Decision\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible. As a global scale-up, we combine speed and ambition with the opportunity to take real ownership from day one. Your growth, wellbeing, and success are a priority, with continuous professional development, training opportunities, and a culture where collaboration is how we win.\nHow We Work (Our Values)\nMake the impossible possible: We set ambitious goals and stay calm under pressure. We bring grit, optimism, and ownership when things get hard, and we keep moving until we find a way.\nBe curious: Go deep, ask questions, listen carefully, and think critically. Understand the “why” behind decisions.\n\nSee the big picture: Stay close to what’s happening across the company so you can make better decisions. Consider how your work affects others.\n\nDrive effective teamwork: Create psychological safety, invite different perspectives, and build inclusive teams. There are no bad questions.\n\nAct as one team: We win together. We match tasks to the right owner and stay agile as priorities shift.\n\nHave fun: What we do matters-and it should be enjoyable. Celebrate progress, take pride in results, and share the wins.\n\nBenefits\nOur benefits are designed to support your health and wellbeing-at work and beyond. We keep improving them based on employee feedback, and offerings vary by location. Talent Acquisition will confirm what applies for this role and location during the process.\nOur commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion\nWe want ICEYE to be a place where people can be themselves and do great work. Different backgrounds and perspectives make us stronger, which is why we work to create an environment where people feel included, respected, and able to speak up. Whatever your background, we want you to bring your authentic self to the table.\nWe’re committed to fair, inclusive hiring and equal opportunity. Everyone is welcome to apply.
