SUPO, where required)\nWhy this role matters\nAs an R&D Supply Chain Intern, you help keep an aerospace R&D project in Valencia supplied with the parts, materials and services it needs to move forward. In a supply chain built around specialised components, long lead times and a limited supplier base, every RFQ sent on time and every delay caught early protects the project schedule. This is a real seat on a real programme, not a shadowing exercise. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\nYour day-to-day responsibilities\nSupport the sourcing of components, parts and services across our supplier base, working alongside engineering, production and procurement\n\nHelp translate engineering requirements into RFQs and supplier evaluations, learning how technical specifications become commercial decisions\n\nMonitor deliveries, follow up with suppliers on delays, and keep the team updated on order status\n\nHelp spot supply risks early, including long lead times, single sources and obsolescence, and support the search for alternatives\n\nSupport the R&D project in Valencia as needs and requirements change, adapting quickly alongside the team\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nMust haves:\nCurrently studying, or recently graduated in, engineering (aerospace, industrial, mechanical or similar), supply chain, or business with a genuine technical interest\n\nBasic familiarity with engineering and manufacturing processes, ideally in aerospace (coursework, projects or student teams count)\n\nComfortable reading technical documents such as drawings, specifications and datasheets\n\nMore drawn to coordination and management (planning, follow-up, working with suppliers and teams) than to hands-on technical design\n\nAble to work under pressure and adapt when priorities and requirements shift\n\nFluent English, spoken and written\n\nEligible for an internship agreement (convenio de prácticas) with a university or training institution\n\nNice to haves:\nExperience working with local suppliers in Valencia\n\nSome exposure to RFQs, supplier selection, ERP tools or Excel-based tracking\n\nComfortable in a production plant environment and keen to work hand in hand with production and engineering teams\n\nCuriosity about how complex hardware gets built and bought, and the appetite to ask why\n\nApplication Process\nTalent Acquisition Interview\n\nTechnical Interview\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
