We are now seeking a Tax Manager to join our Group Tax team. Based in Espoo, and reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will be a key contributor to ICEYE's tax function, working at the heart of a fast-moving, international environment where accurate and well-managed tax management is a critical part of the wider Finance organization.\nYou will bring practical expertise in indirect taxation, built for example in a consulting environment or an in-house tax function, and combine it with the accuracy that indirect tax work demands.\nAlongside your indirect tax responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to build competence in corporate income tax and transfer pricing as ICEYE's international footprint and tax function continues to grow\nWho We Are\n\n ICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.\n Your day-to-day responsibilities\nAdvise and support in indirect tax questions, including the indirect tax treatment of transactions, contracts, and new business models.\n\nMonitor changes in indirect tax legislation across relevant jurisdictions and assess their impact on ICEYE's business and systems.\n\nSupport in identifying and documenting cross-border transaction flows to ensure they are correctly characterized for both indirect tax and transfer pricing purposes, recognizing the interplay between the two.\n\nSupport in indirect tax audits and inquiries and manage day-to-day relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.\n\nIdentify potential for and apply automation tools to scale VAT compliance, controlling and monitoring as the business grows.\n\nIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvements that strengthen controls and mitigate tax risk before it materialises.\n\nSupport the Global Head of Tax on corporate income tax matters with room to grow into a\nbroader role over time.\n\nContribute to transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements as ICEYE's group structure evolves.\n\nSupport the tax aspects of new market entries, corporate structuring, and other cross-functional projects as needed.\n\nCollaborate closely with different Finance teams as well as business to ensure accurate tax treatment and timely information flow.\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\nMaster’s degree in tax, law, accounting, or a related field.\n\nYou have at least 5 years of relevant tax experience, gained in a consulting firm, law firm, tax authority, or an in-house tax function.\n\nStrong, hands-on expertise in indirect taxation; experience with cross-border or multi jurisdictional matters is an advantage.\n\nGenuine interest in and willingness to expand your expertise into corporate income tax and transfer pricing.\n\nExcellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).\n\nAnalytical Rigour: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nCommercial Curiosity: genuinely interested in how the business operates.\n\nClear Communication: A pragmatic, hands-on approach, able to translate complex tax rules into clear, actionable guidance for non-tax colleagues and business representatives.\n\nProactivity: Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, international, and evolving environment.\n\nCollaboration: works well across teams and is comfortable seeking input from more senior\ncolleagues.\n\nApplication Process\nTA Screening interview\n\nHiring Manager interview\n\nPeer interview (on-site)\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
