SUPO, where required)\n\nThe Mission of the Senior Electronics Engineer\nWe’re looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our New Payload Team and help build the next generation of satellite hardware. In this role, you’ll design, test, and maintain the electronic systems that power and control our payloads and avionics subsystems. You’ll contribute across the entire product lifecycle, from early concepts and prototypes through integration, testing, and on-orbit performance.\nThis role is perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, collaborating with experts across multiple disciplines, and having real ownership over hardware that flies in space.\nWho are we?\nICEYE delivers space-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities to governments and allied nations. The company has more than 900 employees, inspired by the shared vision of improving life on Earth by becoming the global source of truth in Earth Observation.\nDay to day responsibilities:\nDesign board-level electronic systems for satellite units and RF boards, with a strong focus on power and control circuits using microcontrollers.\n\nPerform rigorous testing and validation of the electronics you design, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance with mission requirements.\n\nCreate and maintain clear documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, test plans, and procedures.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues during design, prototyping, manufacturing, and even in-orbit operations when needed.\n\nWork closely with RF engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, and other specialists to ensure seamless integration.\n\nContribute to continuous improvement of design practices, test coverage, and in-orbit performance monitoring.\n\nRequirements:\nMust have skills\n7-10+ years of hands-on experience in electronics engineering, with a strong specialization in analog electronics design.\n\nBSc/MSc in Electronic Engineering or related field.\n\nProven track record designing low-noise power supplies, timing circuits, and analog signal chains at a senior/expert level.\n\nSignificant experience in the space, defense, or avionics industry, having worked on flight or mission-critical hardware.\n\nStrong command of EMI/EMC principles and best practices for noise mitigation.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex analog design efforts and mentor junior engineers.\n\nNice to have skills\nHands-on experience with space hardware or environmental testing (vibration, thermal, radiation).\n\nDeep understanding of high-speed signals and associated design constraints.\n\nSolid understanding of RF concepts and the interactions between digital, analog, and RF circuitry.\n\nExperience with PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or similar.\n\nExperience working with microcontroller firmware or embedded systems.\n\nKnowledge of root-cause analysis techniques for complex hardware issues.\n\nApplication process\nTalent Acquisition Interview\n\nHiring Manager Interview\n\nTechnical Interview (onsite or virtual), including a Technical Challenge\n\nHiring Team Interview\n\nOffer Decision\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
