SUPO, where required)\nWhy this role matters:\nAs a Software AIT Engineer, you play a vital role in bridging software development and hardware integration at ICEYE. You will lead satellite-level verification and validation campaigns, integrate flight software with satellite subsystems, and develop automated test frameworks to ensure functional readiness. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.\nFounded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. \n\nYour day-to-day responsibilities\nExecute satellite-level verification and validation (V&V) campaigns, focusing on functional software operations and system health\n\nLead the integration of flight software with satellite subsystems (avionics, power, RF, thermal), ensuring seamless interoperability\n\nDevelop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance efficiency, repeatability, and coverage across functional and environmental test campaigns\n\nAct as primary technical contact for software-related integration issues, performing root cause analysis and coordinating with software engineering to resolve anomalies\n\nSupport production readiness and design reviews (PRR, CDR) by providing feedback on software testability, hardware-in-the-loop requirements, and system configuration\n\nContribute to and improve AIT documentation including software test procedures, integration plans, and configuration records\n\nInterface with Global AIT, Software Engineering, and Mission Operations teams to ensure alignment on product standards and lessons learned\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives in integration methods, test efficiency, and build reliability\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nMust haves:\n5+ years of hands-on experience in integration, testing, or production of complex systems -- preferably in aerospace or high-reliability hardware industries\n\nStrong proficiency in Python scripting and automation for test development and data analysis\n\nProven experience in multidisciplinary engineering environments with a focus on system-level validation\n\nDeep technical understanding of satellite architectures including command and data handling (C&DH), avionics, or communication subsystems\n\nFamiliarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, environmental testing (EMC, vibration, thermal), and configuration management\n\nSystems engineering mindset -- able to anticipate integration risks and connect software logic, hardware interfaces, and mission operations\n\nProficient English (written and spoken) for cross-functional collaboration\n\nNice to haves:\nExperience with Atlassian Cloud tools (Jira, Confluence)\n\nTrack record of enabling design-for-testability (DFT) and design-for-manufacturing (DFM)\n\nLean and Six Sigma experience\n\nExperience writing or improving Python test scripts beyond routine execution\n\nApplication Process\nTalent Acquisition Interview\n\nHiring Manager General Interview\n\nTechnical Interview, including a Technical Challenge\n\nFinal Interview\n\nWorking at ICEYE\nAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
