These roles provide hands-on experience in program operations and offers a valuable opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a professional setting.\nAs an intern, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of high-quality products and services, and gain exposure to major projects and client interactions. This experience is designed to help build foundational skills in project management, communication, and teamwork, while deepening your understanding of energy-efficient technologies and utility-sponsored programs.\nThis is an entry-level, 10-week, full time internship that begins in early June 2027. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour for undergraduate students and $28 per hour for graduate students. These roles can be remote, with preference for those near Houston, TX; Missouri; Arkansas; Chicago, IL. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance.\nAs a Program Operations intern, you will:\nCoordinate and support the execution of program activities, events, tasks, and deliverables. \nConduct research and analyze data on market trends, customer segments, competitive landscapes, and energy efficiency equipment to support program planning and decision-making. \nEvaluate market potential, program growth opportunities, and distributor, contractor, and trade ally networks. \nCollaborate with Sales, Account Management, Engineering, and other team members to develop aligned outreach, sales, customer targeting, decarbonization, equity and affordability, lead generation, and value proposition strategies. \nPrepare and maintain reports, schedules, meeting minutes, and other program documentation. \nSummarize findings and present actionable recommendations that support data-driven decisions and the development of accurate, timely, high-quality products and services. \nProvide administrative and communications support, including coordinating meetings and helping teams complete priorities on time. \nAs a Program Delivery Intern, you will:\nSupport the Program Delivery team by developing client presentations and communicating key program results to internal and external stakeholders. \nIdentify and develop program opportunities that advance clients’ clean energy goals. \nReview program processes and recommend opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery. \nCoordinate with program implementation teams and cross-functional partners, including Marketing, IT, and Customer Care. \nEngage participating service providers to gather information and identify opportunities for program improvement, depending on the role. \nPrepare and review technical specifications and calculations for energy efficiency measures and projects, depending on the required skill set. \nAs a Program Outreach Intern, you will:\nProvide support for field-based staff and the network of participating Trade Allies \nSupport communications with participating contractors, customers, and consultants. \nClarify and resolve/escalate customer/contractor concerns related to program participation as necessary. \nCollaborate with regional and national teams to provide national cohesiveness and bring efficiency & best practices to your client’s programs. \nSupport and track contractor enrollment in programs. \nAssist technical teams to ensure QA/QC standards for the program are met. \nIndividuals with a focus-area preference (Operations, Delivery or Outreach) should note such on their cover letter or resume, otherwise, applicants may be considered for any of the above teams.\nBasic Qualifications\nBy start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours is required preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Energy Management, or a related field. \nMust be able to pass any required background check(s), which may include drug screening. \nDue to contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Work Authorization is required \nPreferred Qualifications\nA completed bachelor’s degree and enrollment verification or 9 credits completed in a graduate program in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Energy Management, or a related field. \nStrong organizational, time management, task prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills. \nExcellent written, verbal, analytical, and collaborative communication skills. \nAbility to work independently and effectively as part of a team. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. \nExperience with program coordination, documentation, research, data collection, market analysis, or sales planning projects. \nFamiliarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or VBA. \nInterest in energy efficiency, market research, and sales strategy; familiarity with HVAC, water heating, space heating, kitchen equipment, or lighting technologies is a plus. \nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
