This role offers hands-on experience in government consulting, proposal development, and sales strategy ICF’s Energy, Environment and Infrastructure group. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn how large-scale federal and state-funded programs are pursued and won.\nThis is an entry-level, 10-week, full-time internship expected to begin in June and end in August. The internship can hybrid from Reston, VA or Arlington, VA. Pay is expected to be $23 per hour. At this time, we are unable to provide housing nor relocation assistance for this position.\nResponsibilities:\nMeeting Support: Take detailed notes during internal and client-facing meetings; distribute accurate and timely summaries/action items to relevant stakeholders. \nSales Materials: Assist in drafting and designing pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and other client-facing materials.\nContent Creation: Develop and update marketing and sales content, including website and social media posts, success stories, and capability statements. \nResearch & Analysis: Conduct research on potential government and private sector targets, funding opportunities, and procurement forecasts. \nMonitor competitors’ activities, market positioning, and program performance. \nPipeline Support: Help maintain CRM entries, track leads, and update pursuit status reports. \nCollaboration: Work closely with business development leads, proposal managers, and technical experts to align messaging and strategy. \nAssist in the creation and maintenance of various documents and materials for presentations \nSpecial projects that support the division needs \nBasic Qualifications:\nBy start date, a minimum of 30 completed college-level credit hours in public policy, writing, government, business or related field \nPreferred Qualifications:\nInterest in government contracting, consulting, environmental studies, energy, disaster recovery, or resilience preferred. \nExcellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills \nStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities \nStrong time management skills \nAbility to learn new things quickly \nExperience conducting research, organizing, and analyzing information \nProficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced skill in SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint \nCommitment to making a difference through work in environment, energy, and social justice \nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
