If you are a GIS Analyst/Developer interested in applying your expertise in GIS analysis and application development in a consulting environment, then this may be the role for you.\nJob Location: This position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations/foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.\nYou may be asked to travel once a quarter to an office.\nOur core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.\nWhat You Will Do:\nPerform complex GIS analyses to develop client focused outputs, maps, and dashboards that integrate data relevant to infrastructure and community resilience.\nEvaluate and integrate spatial data from various infrastructure, transportation, and hazard data sources and data types (geodatabases, web services, raster and image files) using extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.\nDesign, build, deploy, and maintain web-based geospatial applications using custom and off-the-shelf mapping tools.\nApply understanding of cross-domain planning and land use considerations to support clients in transportation, disaster recovery, climate resilience, and energy.\nWork directly with clients and ICF subject matter experts to translate business needs into data analysis requirements.\nLead development of process and procedures for data collection, management, processing, and dissemination.\nWhat You Will Bring With You:\nBachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience performing complex GIS analysis.\n2+ years of experience working with Esri’s suite of desktop and web GIS tools.\nFamiliarity and experience with one scripting language, ideally Python.\nCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust\nCandidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.\nCandidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years\nWhat We Would Like You To Bring With You:\nUnderstand concepts and applicable software tools and analytical methodologies for analyzing and visualizing all types of GIS and remote sensing data.\nFamiliarity with automating data pipelines using open source (Python or R) and cloud-native (AWS, Azure) tools.\nWilling to learn how to apply Python skills for web app development and backend scripting.\nExperience with COTS data pipeline tools such as FME, Model Builder or others.\nFamiliarity with React and ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript for developing interactive map applications.\nDemonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative.\nAbility to self-organize, priorities and conduct research on multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nAn ability to communicate and write clearly in English.\nProfessional Skills:\nHighly effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively at all levels of the business.\nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
