Your work will contribute to enabling the U.S. to uphold its leadership in innovation in science and engineering. This is an opportunity to contribute to an important project from its beginning, work with the latest technologies, and all while building a great career at ICF!\nThis role has a hybrid work schedule and will based in Alexandria, VA.\nWhat you will do:\nSupport a wide range of technology, research and development, and programmatic tasks.\nProvide technical and program support to program directors managing an R&D portfolio of awardees.\nAssist with management of awardees, milestone capture, and development of program briefings and technical reports for NSF leadership and interagency partners.\nCoordinate and participate in technical and programmatic discussions with government, industry, and other stakeholders to initiate new partnerships and program concepts.\nCoordinate and support technical meetings and conferences.\nProvide high-level systems engineering and programmatic expertise to support the full life cycle of process and system improvement for current, expanding, and new TIP programs.\nConduct data analysis (in coordination with the data analytics team) to draw valuable insights for programmatic decisions and improve communication.\nEnsure a positive user experience for various programs.\nAs needed, serve as a team lead, managing the implementation of tasks and team member management.\nEmerging Technology is focused on cutting edge, high-risk, high-impact technologies that can revolutionize the way we do scientific research\nExperience with innovative government funding programs, such as other transactions and prize competitions, is desired in addition to familiarity with traditional grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts.\nExpertise in the full life cycle of federal funding program management is strongly desired.\nWhat You Will Bring With You:\nBS/BA degree or equivalent education and/or experience.\nMinimum of 10 years of research and development expertise, managing research projects, and project management experience.\nPosition requires the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust authorization.\nWhat We Would Like You To Bring With You:\nAdvanced degrees (Master’s or PHD) in equivalent education are preferred\nA PMP certification, relevant project management certification, or 5 years of relevant project management experience is preferred.\nProficiency with project management tools, system development and mapping tools, and data analytic tools and processes.\nAwareness of the government R&D landscape or interagency experience\nKnowledge of transition to practice processes, including commercialization strategies.\nExperience working in the innovation ecosystem, including high-growth technology enterprises, and with a federal government funding research agency in a Science, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) role.\nPreferred familiarity with NSF's partnerships landscape study.\nAbility to demonstrate technical skills and experience in managing research projects, data analysis and visualization, survey implementation, project strategy and management.\nProficiency in interpreting and executing industry-standard project management tools, technical note capture and reporting, and administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and coordinating deliverable feedback.\nHigh proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite.\nExperience supporting and interacting with Senior Leadership\nWorking at ICF\nICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we’re not your typical consultants.
