This role contributes to IT projects supporting energy efficiency initiatives, leads requirements and process-improvement activities, and partners closely with ICF subject matter experts, delivery teams, and clients to execute project objectives.\nYou may be required to participate in periodic drug testing and background checks.\nWhy you will love working here:\nQuality of life: Flexible workplace arrangements, work-life balance\nInvestment of the community: Donation matching, volunteer opportunities\nInvestment in you: Tuition reimbursement, access to professional development resources, 401k matching, Employee Stock Purchase Plan \n And many, many more (Ask your recruiter for more details!)\nWhat you will be doing:\nSupport all phases of the software development lifecycle, including discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-launch validation for tools that support energy efficiency program tracking and reporting. \nIndependently lead requirements and analysis workstreams, facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify objectives, resolve ambiguity, document decisions, and drive work toward delivery. \nDocument current-state and future-state processes and recommend technology-enabled improvements by identifying risks, gaps, dependencies, issues, controls, and automation opportunities. \nTranslate business needs into structured project plans, requirements specifications, process flows, data mappings, use cases, acceptance criteria, and actionable user stories. \nCollaborate with senior technologists, developers, reporting teams, project managers, and other cross-functional partners to deliver integrated client solutions. \nAnalyze datasets using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or related tools to identify trends, anomalies, root causes, and business insights; validate data quality and recommend practical actions. \nProactively track risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, milestones, and action items; communicate impacts and escalate concerns appropriately. \nDevelop clear system and process documentation and support end users through training, knowledge transfer, and individualized technical assistance. \nProvide guidance and mentorship to other analysts, share effective practices, and contribute to consistent, audit-ready delivery standards. \nWhat we need you to have (minimum qualifications):\nBachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field (applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education) \n5+ years of experience working in a Business Analyst or similar role supporting data-driven or technical systems, with a focus on requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and translating business needs into technical solutions \n2+ years of experience prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and time sensitive assignments and deadlines \nStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills \nMust be able to pass a background check drug screening.\nWhat we would like you to have:\nExperience in or exposure to the utility, energy, demand response, and/or energy efficiency sectors. \nExperience with issue tracking, collaboration, and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Visio, or MS Project. \nStrong customer service orientation, project planning capability, organizational skills, and ability to balance multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines. \nAbility to communicate technical concepts to business audiences and business needs to technical teams, while constructively challenging assumptions and building alignment. \nAbility to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in an environment with evolving requirements. \nStrong requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, process analysis, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills. \nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
