We also help clients with environmental compliance, permitting, and siting for their projects. To support our growth, ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to work remotely, with a preference for staff to be located in Florida or the Eastern United States (east of the Mississippi River). Staff may work remotely and have the option to work from one of our offices such as the Reston, VA office. This position will support clients’ NEPA compliance for a variety of project types including but not limited to: energy (mining, transmission, renewables), disaster management environmental services, and transportation.\n\nWhy you will love working here:\nQuality of life: Flexible workplace arrangements, work-life balance\nInvestment of the community: Donation matching, volunteer opportunities\nInvestment in you: Tuition reimbursement, access to professional development resources, 401k matching, Employee Stock Purchase Plan\nAnd many, many more (Ask your recruiter for more details!)\n\nKey Responsibilities for this position may include:\nServing as a lead reviewer for NEPA projects\nInteracting with applicants and agency staff \nHelping agency staff manage the preparation of EAs and EISs (which are usually prepared by the applicant’s contractor) \nReviewing NEPA documents prepared by the applicant’s contractor \nReviewing environmental components of applications \nParticipating in the Project Management team \nActing as PM on EAs or DPM on EISs \nDeveloping written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions\nServing as a liaison to direct technical staff on project teams \nCoordinating project deliverables with document production staff \nDeveloping and monitoring project scopes, schedules, and budgets \nOrganizing and facilitating meetings (such as preparing agendas, developing and presenting meeting content, and preparing summaries) \nCommunicating with clients, stakeholders, and agency staff \n\nWhat you need to have (Minimum Qualifications):\nBachelor’s Degree or higher in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects\n4+ years of relevant professional experience\n\nWhat we would like you to have (preferred experience):\nExperience leading or supporting project management teams\nExperience with developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets \nExperience interfacing with clients and internal and external stakeholders\nExperience with NEPA projects for Transportation and Energy projects\nExperience with NEPA and other environmental compliance related to FEMA or HUD projects\n\nProfessional skills you will use:\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) \nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, including ability to prioritize and multi-task under strict deadlines \nStrong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to succeed with new and challenging tasks \nSetting challenging, measurable and sustainable goals in collaboration with manager(s) \nIdentifying and meeting the needs of clients within established guidelines \nWorking collaboratively with project teams and clients to achieve established goals \nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
