The Senior Technical Specialist will work closely with a cross-functional team including program implementation, operations, IT, engineering, and reporting personnel. This position will actively participate in client and management level reporting, including leading presentations to clients and management. The position also supports the more detailed CPUC reporting requirements as directed by program and/or engineering groups and is critical in assisting the administration of energy efficiency and electrification programs. \n\nWhy you will love working here:\nQuality of life: Flexible workplace arrangements, work-life balance \nInvestment in the community: Donation matching, volunteer opportunities \nInvestment in you: Tuition reimbursement, access to professional development resources, 401k matching, Employee Stock Purchase Plan \n And many, many more (Ask your recruiter for more details!) \nWhat you will do:\nDevelop common reporting templates that leverage varying data to create uniform results for regular and ad hoc reporting needs \nCollect energy efficiency / electrification reporting and KPI data from multiple stakeholders in varying formats \nCompile data into common reporting templates \nPresent formal reports to internal and client facing senior management \nTrack and support recurring energy measure calculation updates \nHelp maintain program databases, incorporating fixes and enhancements and performing periodic reviews for data consistency and accuracy \nReview reports and presentations by third parties \nAssist with the interpretation and implementation of client and regulatory guidance related to reporting \nContribute to and coordinate responses to data requests from third-party evaluators and support internal data requests \nWork with other stakeholders to support CPUC level reporting including compiling data, generating reports and submitting the reports \nTravel Requirements: Minimal travel in the Los Angeles, CA metro area up to 10% of the time for meetings and events\n What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Energy, Environmental Studies or related subjects (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)\n5+ years experience with program tracking, reporting and presenting KPI data to senior management\nWhat we would like you to have (preferred skills):\nMaster’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Statistics, MBA, Economics, Energy, Environmental Studies or related subjects \nExperience in the utility or energy industry and knowledge of energy efficiency measures and technology \nUnderstanding of programs promoting Demand Side Management, Energy Efficiency, Electrification and Demand Response \nKnowledge of sustainable building practices and technologies \nDemonstrated familiarity with California deemed and custom project requirements\nDemonstrated familiarity with CEDARS reporting system \nDemonstrated familiarity developing and writing code with scripting and programming languages such as Python, VBA, R, and /or SQL \nFamiliarity with using the eTRM or other TRMs\nExperience creating Power BI dashboards and/or developing advanced MS Excel workbooks using macros, VBA code and complex data structures to generate reports\nDemonstrated experience using relational databases such as Salesforce\n Professional skills you will use:\nMicrosoft certificate(s) including: Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Excel Expert, Microsoft PowerPoint Associate, Microsoft PowerBI Certificate and/or Microsoft PowerBi Data Analyst Certificate\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment \nExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions \nExcellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to carry out oral and written instructions thoroughly \nAbility to engage with multiple stakeholders in both public and private settings and negotiate outcomes \nSound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information \nInterpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude \nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
