For more information: https://www.icf.com/work/research-evaluation/survey\nThe Survey Research Science and Operations practice is seeking a Survey Manager. If successful, you will support a large-scale federal survey as well as a variety of projects across a wide array of topics and clients at the commercial and federal level, including aviation, transportation, and energy (various utilities). This role is well suited to a project manager who is highly organized, takes ownership of work, and is comfortable keeping multiple teams, tasks, deadlines, and dependencies moving at the same time.\nYou will be expected to provide support in the following three areas:\nProject Management- You will manage the day-to-day activities of concurrent survey-related projects.\nBusiness Development - You will support the team’s proposal and grant development activities; this includes written sections of proposals as well as internal and external networking and relationship management.\nTechnical Expertise - You will provide technical assistance to internal and external clients in association with the projects you manage as well as complete technical reports and other deliverables as required. \nThis is a great position for a mid-level professional who will join our team in a REMOTE capacity.\nWhat you’ll do:\nManage concurrent survey-related projects, serving as the key point of contact to clients, providing excellent service, managing expectations, and producing products that demonstrate results.\nPrepare project plans, manage schedules, and performance using effective project management processes and frameworks.\nCreate and track project budgets.\nKeep multiple workstreams moving simultaneously by identifying next steps, assigning and following up on actions, managing dependencies, and escalating issues when needed.\nIdentify and coordinate with internal collaborators and outside subcontractors and vendors.\nProactively manage and communicate with a team of cross-matrixed professionals, ensuring smooth team operations and effective collaboration.\nContribute methodological or technical guidance in support of quantitative projects or tasks involving web, mail, telephone, in-person, and other data collection activities.\nContribute methodological or technical guidance in support of qualitative projects or tasks involving cognitive interviewing, one-on-one interviews, and/or focus groups.\nDevelop project quality assurance protocols, and ensure quality for all data, reports, and presentations.\nCommunicate effectively in writing-proposals, analytic reports, issue papers, briefings, and formal and informal email correspondence.\nDevelop and cultivate strong client relationships.\nAnticipate risks, bottlenecks and dependencies and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.\nUpdate leadership on progress as directed and on regular reporting cycles.\nActively participate in business development activities- managing the proposal process, and writing proposal sections.\nWhat you must have:\nBachelor’s degree required\n3+ years of applied experience in the survey research field.\n2+ years of experience in survey project management, including coordinating teams and tasks, tracking completion of activities, managing schedules, monitoring project budget, and ensuring the quality of work products.\n2+ years of experience with MS Office products-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or professional skills.\nProfessional Skills\nExperience managing and advancing multiple workstreams simultaneously, with strong organizational and follow-through skills.\nDemonstrated ability to take ownership of work, independently drive tasks forward, and recognize when issues require escalation.\nDemonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support.\nAdditional professional skills and experience preferred: \n1+ year experience conducting and analyzing qualitative research.\nMaster’s degree preferred.\nAbility to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment.\nExperience in quantitative data analysis and statistical software experience (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS).\nExperience in proposal writing and/or budget development.\nProficiency in Spanish or another foreign language is a plus.\nBot and Third-Party Applications\nPlease note that this application must be submitted directly by the applicant for consideration.
