ICF

ICF International is an American consulting and technology services firm founded in 1969 as the Inner City Fund, and it now works predominantly for United States federal, state and local government clients. Its practice areas cover public health programmes, energy efficiency and utility programme delivery, disaster recovery and resilience, environmental assessment, transportation planning and the digital modernisation of agency systems, alongside a marketing services business serving both public and commercial clients. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia and listed on Nasdaq, it employs around nine thousand people and depends heavily on federal contract awards.

ICF is growing in Texas, and we want you to join in our growth!

A preference for those in the Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston or San Antonio regions will be given. Pay is anticipated to be in the upper $50K annualized range plus full-time benefits.

Level: Biologist / Delineator

Focus: Desktop and field surveys, wetland delineations, habitat assessments, technical writing and review for infrastructure projects (including transportation, energy, water)

Territory: Texas primary + U.S. support

Travel: range 30-60% (higher during spring/fall, lower during winter/summer)

Responsibilities: conduct surveys, author and review reports, work alongside senior staff

  • Assess impacts and prepare technical reports and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 404/10 permit applications and mitigation plans
  • Explore a wide variety of project sites, terrain, and ecological landscapes, within Texas and across the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Any experience conducting wildlife habitat assessments and surveys, wetland delineations, environmental permitting related to WOTUS, or closely-related environmental field services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing skills and ability to QA/QC deliverables and apply feedback from senior staff
  • Experience using GPS technologies
  • The team's local office is in Austin, TX, and due to the location of field work, Texas-based candidates are preferred
