The successful candidate will provide analytical services and technical support to internal customers, ensuring accurate and timely laboratory analysis while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.\nThis role would suit a candidate with laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced analytical environment and is keen to develop their technical expertise.\nKey Responsibilities\nConduct routine sample preparation and laboratory analysis.\nPerform analytical techniques including titration, Ion Chromatography (IC) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD).\nCalibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.\nSupport local research and development and product development activities.\nPrepare weekly and monthly composite samples as required.\nAssist in maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.\nMonitor and help manage laboratory consumables, chemicals and equipment.\nParticipate in risk assessments and laboratory improvement initiatives.\nMaintain laboratory records and databases, including LIMS systems.\nBuild effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across operations, geology, environmental, safety and commercial teams.\nAbout You\nEssential\nDegree in a STEM subject (Chemistry preferred).\nA-Level Chemistry.\nExperience working in a high-throughput analytical laboratory.\nKnowledge and practical experience of analytical techniques such as titration, IC and XRD.\nUnderstanding of QA/QC requirements and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory software systems.\nKnowledge of quality systems and standards, including ISO 9001.\nLevel 2 Skills for Life incorporating Numeracy, Literacy and ITQ.\nCOSHH Assessment Training.\nDesirable\nIOSH Working Safely Certificate.\nIOSH Environmental Training.\nApplicants must hold, be working towards, or be willing to work towards achieving the required qualifications within a reasonable timescale.
