What will I get to do in this position?\nSupport ESH Compliance:\nFollow all plant safety procedures and requirements for handling phosphates\nFollow all applicable ICL safety requirements\nFollow plant emergency procedures\nComplete all regulatory training\nPackaging operators are members of the plant emergency brigade\nComply with the plant HACCP Program\nMust successfully complete RCRA introductory/orientation training\nMust successfully complete RCRA annual refresher training\nPerform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirement\nGeneral Job Responsibilities:\nPackage material as required by production plan, at or above budgeted rates\nFill specialty containers, supersacks and fiber drums to order\nDump rework bags\nRework and repackage products to reduce waste\nOperate PSI Packager machines and SAPP Packaging system\nOperate packaging and blending system\nOperate dust collectors from Wonderware controller\nAdjust packages to maintain desired bag weight\nLabel bags and other containers as required\nPackager operates the conveying system and palletizer\nBlending Operator in addition to general packaging responsibilities also operates packaging and conveying system in the blending area\nKeep written records of all packaging of products per SOPs\nMake clean outs of bins and equipment for product changes\nEnsure that production and housekeeping in assigned areas meet cGMP standards\nEnsure compliance with all food safety system requirements\nComply with the requirements of the Lawrence Quality System\nTroubleshoot equipment breakdowns\nGenerate maintenance work notifications in SAP for needed repairs\nClean magnetic separators\nComputer entry into SAP and database\nPerform daily housekeeping and sanitation requirements\nComply with plant HACCP Program\nPerform tasks as assigned by BUL\nWhat skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment\nMust be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision, rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays\nMust successfully complete new employee orientation and all job specific training\nAbility to safely exit the plant in the event of an emergency\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Physical Demands:\nPPE\nAt ICL, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a top priority. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE based on the task and environment. This may include safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and, when necessary, full hazmat suits with respirators. Employees who work in the acid plant or are members of the Brigade team will be required to be clean shaven and pass a respirator fit test.
