You will work closely with internal and external partners to generate scientific evidence, identify commercial opportunities, and support the successful launch and ongoing development of new products.\nThe role reports to the Business Manager - AmegA Sciences and collaborates closely with Global R&D, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing and external research partners.\nIn this role, you will:\nLead the evaluation and development of innovative technologies and product concepts with a focus on Water Use Efficiency (WUE), Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and plant physiology\nIdentify and assess emerging scientific developments, new technologies and competitive innovations to support future business growth\nManage research projects from concept through commercialization, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation and milestone management\nDesign, commission and oversee internal and external field, glasshouse and laboratory trials\nAnalyze and interpret scientific data using robust experimental and statistical methodologies\nPrepare scientific reports, technical presentations and project updates for internal stakeholders and senior leadership\nCollaborate with universities, research institutes, contract research organizations and external partners\nSupport intellectual property development through invention disclosures, patent applications and collaboration with legal and patent specialists\nManage project budgets, including trial expenditure, investment assessments and commercial evaluations\nPresent technical findings, product concepts and project outcomes to customers, industry forums and global project teams\nSupport product positioning, marketing claims, regulatory submissions and customer-facing scientific materials\nContribute scientific data and technical expertise for product registration and regulatory activities\nDevelop and continuously refine scientifically substantiated product claims and use recommendations\nSupport successful product launches through technical training, demonstrations and scientific presentations\nAbout you\nYou are a scientifically minded research professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple innovation projects in an international environment.\nYou bring:\nA degree in Plant Physiology, Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, Agriculture or a related scientific discipline\nProven experience in agricultural, horticultural, turf or plant science research and development\nStrong knowledge of plant physiology, Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE) and Water Use Efficiency (WUE)\nExperience designing and managing field, glasshouse and laboratory trials\nStrong statistical analysis skills and the ability to interpret complex scientific datasets\nExperience working with universities, research institutions and external trial providers\nProject management experience, including budget responsibility and milestone tracking\nThe ability to translate scientific findings into practical commercial recommendations\nStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholder groups\nExperience supporting innovation projects through stage-gate development processes\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software\nA proactive, innovative and solution-oriented mindset\nWillingness to travel nationally and internationally as required\nWhat we offer\nThe opportunity to shape innovative technologies that support sustainable agriculture worldwide\nA high-impact role within a global innovation and research environment\nExposure to cutting-edge research, new product development and international collaboration\nThe chance to work closely with leading scientists, universities and research organizations\nOwnership of projects across the full innovation lifecycle, from concept to commercialization\nA collaborative and purpose-driven culture focused on helping growers succeed\nFlexibility through a hybrid working model\nInternational career opportunities within ICL\nLocation: Daventry, Northamptonshire (UK) or Hybrid\nApply now!\nIf this role sounds like the right next step in your career, we would love to see your application!
