What will I get to do in this position?\nAssist operating personnel as directed by Shift or Shipping Supervisor while working in a team environment.\nExhibit behaviors demonstrating knowledge.\nAdhere to all plant safety and regulatory policies while performing required work.\nSuccessfully complete a 90-day evaluation period and complete required test based on generally accepted skill measuring techniques.\nExhibits behaviors demonstrating knowledge of safety and regulatory policy.\nUnderstanding of basic chemistry concepts, inclusive of phosphorus.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and symbols.\nAbility to use mathematics as it relates to operator job tasks.\nAbility to make the various type measurements as required.\nPossess knowledge of Gallipolis Ferry plant lay-out and equipment location.\nUnderstanding of an operator’s role to the Site Production Plan, the Site Shipping Plan and the Site ISO Certification.\nAll other duties assigned pertaining to the production utility position.\nAchieve all components of Process Plant Fundamentals accountabilities.\nAbility to operate the drumming manifold in shipping.\nAbility to perform Lab Aide duties during absence periods.\nWhat skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?\nHigh school education or equivalency (GED) required. \nAfter hire, employee must successfully complete a 90-day probationary period.\nAfter award of the position to an internal candidate, employee must successfully complete 120-day evaluation period and test based on generally accepted skill measuring techniques. \nThis is a posted job which is subject to the bidding process. Award of job to employee is based on requirements dictated by most current CBA (Labor Agreement) in affect at time of job awarding. In general, job award is based on seniority and qualifications no bidders or qualified employees on lay-off status, hire will be made outside the plant.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment along with managing multiple projects/priorities/tasks simultaneously.\nComputer skills- Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP\nInterpret and use of paperwork/forms encountered on the job.\nAble to work a rotating shift schedule including some nights and weekends is required.\nAbility to regularly move and/or lift up to 60 lbs, wear appropriate PPE, and climb stairs and/or ladders.\nWhat will set me apart?\n2+ years of progressive experience in maintenance or chemical operations whichever is most applicable is most preferred.\nCandidates who have worked in certain packaging (filling drums, totes, etc…) and liquid transfer operations (truck or other transport fueling or loading operations) and some commercial sized operations (like large agricultural and large warehousing or distribution centers.\nAssociates degree (Applied Science in Engineering Technology Manufacturing Option or Applied Process Technologies- Chemical Operator Option or related degree), plus 1-2 years of chemical manufacturing\nexperience or combination of education and experience preferred.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE):\nAt ICL, maintaining a safe and healthy workplace is a top priority.
