We work closely with clients to understand their challenges and deliver technology that creates meaningful business outcomes.\nWe’re looking for a TechnicalBusiness Analystwho enjoys understanding how businesses work, asking the right questions and bringing clarity to complex technology projects.\nAbout the Role\nJoining our Project Management Office and reporting to the Head of Delivery, you’ll work directly with clients and our delivery teams to turn business needs into clear, actionable requirements.\nYour work will span data, integration, AI and broader technology initiatives, alongside opportunities to improve Adaptiv’s own internal processes.\nYou’ll stay involved throughout delivery from discovery and process analysis through to development, testing and business readiness. Working alongside project managers, architects, developers and QA, you’ll help ensure the solution delivered addresses the business problem we set out to solve.\nThis is a varied consulting role for someone who is comfortable working with different stakeholders, navigating ambiguity and adapting as priorities change.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nFacilitating discovery sessions, interviews and workshops to understand business needs and agree priorities.\nAnalysing current and future processes, systems and information flows to identify opportunities for improvement.\nTranslating business needs into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and functional specifications.\nDefining functional and non-functional requirements that are clear, feasible and testable.\nWorking with architects and technical consultants to assess solution options, dependencies and impacts.\nSupporting data mapping, source-to-target rules and business data definitions where required.\nMaintaining requirements traceability and assessing changes to scope throughout delivery.\nClarifying requirements during design, development and testing, and supporting user acceptance testing and defect triage.\nCommunicating findings, decisions and risks clearly to business and technical stakeholders.\nSupporting change readiness and operational handover so clients can use and support what we deliver.\nContributing to pre-sales discovery and improving our analysis practices, documentation and internal processes.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nWe’re looking for someone with a sound business analysis foundation and the confidence to work directly with clients.\nIdeally, you’ll bring:\nAt least three years’ business analysis experiencein technology, digital or consulting environments.\nA track record of gathering, analysing and documenting requirements that support successful technology delivery.\nExperience facilitating workshops and working across diverse business and technical stakeholder groups.\nStrong requirements management and process modelling skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria and functional and non-functional requirements.\nA sound understanding of IT concepts, systems integration and the technology delivery lifecycle.\nThe ability to investigate a problem, challenge assumptions constructively and explain practical options.\nClear written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce professional documentation for different audiences.\nExperience with Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration and delivery tools, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills.\nThe organisation and judgement to manage competing priorities, follow through on actions and raise issues early.\nExperience across integration, data, cloud, AI or enterprise systems projectswould be valuable. Consulting or client-facing delivery experience is a distinct advantage.\nExposure to Databricks, Azure Integration Services, Boomi or MuleSoftwould also be useful, but isn’t essential.\nA relevant tertiary qualification is preferred. Business analysis training or certification, such as IIBA or BCS, and experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban are advantageous.\nThe Person We’re Looking For\nYou’re curious about how things work and comfortable asking questions until the underlying need is clear.\nYou build trust by listening, communicating clearly and doing what you say you’ll do.
