Working closely with the BIM Manager, the BIM Coordinator will help establish and maintain a scalable BIM environment across ICON’s design teams. The position will combine hands-on Revit support, standards development, model QA/QC, content management, project setup, documentation, training, and workflow improvement. \nThe ideal candidate is a strong Revit user who understands not only how to model and document projects, but also how BIM standards, data, content, and project workflows should be structured and maintained across multiple teams. \nAs an ICONIC, you will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on contributor, driving design excellence, technical rigor, and program execution across multiple concurrent projects. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX campus and reports to the BIM Manager.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nBIM Standards & Implementation \nSupport development and implementation of ICON’s BIM standards and procedures.\nAssist with development and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) framework. \nSupport development of the Revit Standards Manual, Project Startup Guide, SOPs, and related BIM documentation. \nHelp establish and maintain naming conventions, workset standards, view standards, and project setup procedures. \nSupport implementation of BIM standards across new and existing projects. \nRevit Template & Data Standards\nAssist with development, testing, and maintenance of the company Revit template.\nMaintain and improve view templates, schedules, filters, browser organization, annotations, and other template components. \nSupport development and governance of shared parameters and BIM data standards. \nTest template updates before company-wide deployment. \nDocument template changes and maintain version control. \nContent & Family Management \nAudit, organize, and maintain the Revit family library. \nReview families for modeling quality, performance, parameters, naming, and documentation requirements. \nDevelop and modify Revit families as needed. \nSupport implementation and management of the centralized content library.\nEstablish QA/QC procedures for new content before publication. \nProject Support & QA/QC \nOwn project startup configuration, establishing model structure, worksets, shared coordinates, and BIM setup in accordance with ICON standards.\nConduct periodic model health reviews to assess standards compliance, model performance, and data quality.\nIdentify and document issues related to model coordination, workset structure, view organization, and BIM data integrity.\nSupport model-based quantity and cost-data QA/QC workflows.\nTroubleshoot Revit and BIM workflow issues escalated by project teams.\nPartner with design teams to implement BIM standards and resolve issues without disrupting active project delivery.\nTraining & Knowledge Management \nSupport development of BIM onboarding and new-hire training. \nCreate documentation, quick-reference guides, tutorials, and training materials. \nAssist with BIM workshops and office hours. \nCapture recurring project issues and solutions within ICON’s BIM knowledge base.\nWork with BIM Champions to identify common issues and opportunities for improvement. \nTechnology & Workflow Improvement \nIdentify repetitive BIM processes that can be standardized or automated. \nSupport development and testing of Dynamo, Python, or other automation workflows where appropriate. \nAssist with interoperability workflows between Revit, Rhino, BuildOS, and other digital platforms. \nEvaluate BIM tools, plugins, and workflows under the direction of the BIM Manager.\nParticipate in continuous BIM maturity and process-improvement initiatives. \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n3-5+ years of professional BIM/Revit experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related environment. \nMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience working on AEC projects in architecture, engineering, construction, or a related environment. \nAdvanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit. \nStrong understanding of Revit templates, families, shared parameters, schedules, view templates, worksets, and model management. \nExperience supporting BIM standards and project setup. \nExperience performing model QA/QC and troubleshooting Revit issues.\nUnderstanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model workflows.\nStrong documentation and organizational skills. \nAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to designers with different levels of BIM experience. \nAbility to work across multiple projects and teams while maintaining consistent standards.\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\nExperience developing or maintaining company-wide Revit standards.\nExperience managing Revit family/content libraries. \nExperience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). \nExperience with Dynamo and/or Python automation. \nExperience with Rhino/Revit interoperability. \nFamiliarity with model-based quantity workflows and BIM data management.\nExperience developing BIM training or technical documentation. \nFamiliarity with BIM Execution Plans and BIM governance processes.\nPORTFOLIO: Applicants are required to submit a portfolio or work samples demonstrating Revit/BIM experience.\nICON is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an innovative, inclusive, diverse and discrimination-free work environment.
