Must have previous experienceICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.\nAs a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.\nThe language services team within ICON is seeking highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to lead a team of project managers and specialists supporting the delivery of linguistic validation and electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) implementation projects.\nThis leadership role combines operational oversight, people management, client engagement, financial accountability, and process excellence to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality multilingual (e)COA solutions for global clinical trials. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving team performance, developing talent, supporting business growth, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & People Management\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and specialists.\nConduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.\nFoster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team culture.\nSupport resource allocation, workload management, and capacity planning.\nDrive employee engagement and retention initiatives.\nOperational Excellence\nOversee the successful execution of linguistic validation and eCOA implementation projects.\nMonitor project quality, timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators.\nIdentify and mitigate project risks and escalation points.\nEnsure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.\nClient & Stakeholder Management\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nServe as a senior escalation point for project and client-related matters.\nCollaborate closely with Client Managers, Business Development, Production Teams, and Technology teams.\nParticipate in client meetings and provide strategic guidance on project delivery.\nFinancial Management & Business Performance\nMonitor and drive project financial performance, including revenue, margin, and profitability targets.\nReview project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations to ensure efficient project delivery and optimal financial outcomes.\nAnalyze revenue trends, utilization metrics, and operational performance indicators to support business objectives.\nEnsure accurate financial tracking, including change orders, scope management, invoicing readiness, and revenue recognition milestones.\nQuality & Compliance\nEnsure delivery meets quality, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.\nSupport audit readiness activities and CAPA implementation.\nContribute to process standardization and documentation improvements.\nMonitor compliance metrics and implement corrective actions when required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Languages, Translation, Project Management, or a related discipline.\nMinimum of 3 years of people leadership experience, including managing project teams within Life Sciences, eCOA, localization, or related service environments.\nExperience in clinical research, clinical outcomes assessments (COA), linguistic validation, localization, or related healthcare services.\nStrong understanding of translation and linguistic validation methodologies.\nKnowledge of eCOA, ePRO, eClinRO, eObsRO, or related electronic clinical technologies.\nStrong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial data (including revenue, margin, forecasting and resource utilization)\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.\nExperience working in a global, cross-functional environment.\nEmployment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.\nRewards & Benefits\nICON offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your health, wellbeing, and career development.\nBenefits may include:\nCompetitive base salary and performance related incentives\nHealth and wellbeing programmes including medical, dental, and vision coverage where applicable\nRetirement and pension plans\nLife assurance and disability coverage\nEmployee assistance programmes and wellbeing resources\nLearning and development opportunities through structured training and career pathways\nBenefits may vary depending on role and location.\nVisit our careers site to read more about the benefits ICON offers.\nInclusion and Accessibility\nICON is an equal opportunity employer.
