They will work to process, analyse and report results of clinical trial patient samples in our Clinical Chemistry Laboratories.\nOverview of the Role:\nRecognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centre around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.\nAs a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.\nOperate equipment carefully and according to procedures; maintain laboratory automation equipment per established operating procedures.\nPerform necessary equipment checks, performance testing, preventive maintenance, and quality control on equipment per laboratory guidelines, as assigned.\nAssure equipment and instruments meet performance standards.\nMaintain QC related documents.\nAssure the accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory’s Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures.\nMaintain complete documentation for assay tracking and results for review/reporting.\nParticipate in the Proficiency Testing Program as assigned.\nComplete the performance of proficiency testing in assigned laboratory sections.\nReview all test requests thoroughly for errors, omissions, clarity, and potential problems.\nVerify patient identification at all steps of every procedure and maintain complete accuracy.\nFollow unidirectional flow of specimen handling to avoid contamination.\nNotify supervisor of discrepancies and records corrective action taken.\nHelp maintain commonly used equipment and resolve minor equipment problems. Troubleshoot instrument related issues as they occur.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nGood laboratory and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and efficiently are essential.\nAbility to multitask, along with an orientation toward teamwork and leadership.\nStrong creative thinking and problem solving skills\nTo be successful in the role, you will ideally have:\nYou will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent.\n3+ years experience working in a Clinical Chemistry laboratory.\nYou will need strong interpersonal and communication skills, good laboratory and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently and efficiently are essential, ability to multitask, along with an orientation toward teamwork and leadership, and strong creative thinking and problem solving skills.\nBenefits of Working in ICON:\nOur success depends on the knowledge, capabilities and quality of our people.
