The role builds strong relationships with investigative sites, drives essential document collection and quality review, supports country and site ICF development and negotiation, ensures IRB submission readiness and approval follow-up, manages amendment implementation, and partners cross-functionally to achieve timely site activation and amendment implementation.\nWhat You Will Do:\nYour focus will be on coordinating site start-up and activation delivery, resolving issues, and developing team capability.\nKey responsibilities include:\nBuild strong working relationships with investigative sites and support a positive sponsor-site experience throughout start-up.\nCollect, review, QC, and file essential documents required for submission and activation.\nReview and negotiate ICF changes with sites and stakeholders; manage translations, checklists, filing, and amendment updates as required.\nEnsure IRB submissions are made and approval documentation is complete and activation-ready.\nSupport regulatory and clinical trial start-up activities across the US, including coordination of submission, approval, and study activation workflows.\nCollaborate with sites and internal stakeholders to set and achieve Regulatory Greenlight (RGL) goals that support timely site activation.\nEscalate risks, manage timelines, and maintain accurate documentation and tracking in systems such as CTMS and the eTMF.\nManage protocol amendments and related submissions, approvals, site communications, and implementation activities.\nYour Profile:\nYou will have solid site start-up and activation experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.\nRequired qualifications and experience:\nClinical trial start-up experience in a site-facing or dedicated site role.\nSolid understanding of ICH GCP, applicable ethics committee requirements (IRB), and regulatory submission processes across the United States. \nExperience with essential document collection, QC, and filing.\nExperience with ICF review, negotiation, and amendment management.\nStrong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills within a sponsor-partner operating model involving ICON.\nExcellent written and spoken English, with strong organization, judgment, and stakeholder-management skills. \nExperience with clinical trial management, electronic trial master file, or comparable research systems.\nAbility to work independently across North American time zones.\nEmployment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.\nRewards & Benefits\nICON offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your health, wellbeing, and career development.\nBenefits may include:\nCompetitive base salary and performance related incentives\nHealth and wellbeing programmes including medical, dental, and vision coverage where applicable\nRetirement and pension plans\nLife assurance and disability coverage\nEmployee assistance programmes and wellbeing resources\nLearning and development opportunities through structured training and career pathways\nBenefits may vary depending on role and location.\nVisit our careers site to read more about the benefits ICON offers.\nInclusion and Accessibility\nICON is an equal opportunity employer.
