As an Emergency Response Center (ERC) Engineer, you will work closely with our esteemed EHS Taichung team and be assigned to specific functions based on your expertise. Your work location will be determined by operational needs, with potential assignments in Taichung\nConduct safety and environmental inspections and audits within the factory area.\nInspect high-risk work activities, including confined space entries, elevated work, and hot work.\nMonitor SCADA systems, fire broadcast systems, and CCTV systems.\nAssist with external audits conducted by CTSP, EPB, and other agencies during nights or holidays.\nRespond to and notify teams of abnormal events using the OMT abnormal SMS system.\nGuide emergency response initiatives during natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons.\nCoordinate and complete annual evacuation drills and department-specific emergency response drills.\nDevelop and implement ERT training plans, including new and refresher training.\nProvide fire safety education and training for new colleagues.\nManage Business Continuity Management (CM/BCM) projects.\nPrepare and present content for executive safety committee meetings.\nPerform maintenance inspections of emergency response equipment.\nComplete corporate projects as assigned by supervisors.\nAI Proficiency Requirement: Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize AI-enabled tools and technologies to improve productivity, decision quality, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. Employees are expected to continuously develop AI capabilities, identify AI use cases, apply responsible AI practices, and contribute to Micron's AI-enabled transformation journey.\nJob Requirements\nWe are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:\nProven experience in an EHS or related engineering role.\nCapability to perform work during shifts, including nights and holidays.\nStrong understanding of safety, environmental, and high-risk work inspections.\nExperience with SCADA systems and emergency response protocols.\nStrong communication abilities and a proven capacity to collaborate effectively.\nDedication to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.\nWork Schedule & Shift Rotation\nThis position requires shift work and follows a 4-3 rotating schedule on a two-week cycle:\nWeek 1: 4 workdays, 3 days off\nWeek 2: 3 workdays, 4 days off\nAverage of 7 workdays and 7 days off every two weeks\nShift Hours:\nDay Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM (includes two 1-hour meal breaks)\nNight Shift: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM (includes two 1-hour meal breaks)\nDay and night shifts rotate approximately every 2 months\nActual scheduling may be adjusted based on business needs\nThis is an outstanding chance to become part of a world-class team and contribute meaningfully to Micron’s safety and operational excellence.
