Our SMART AI products help organisations improve resident and staff experiences through conversational AI, copilots, automation and intelligent insights.\nWe are hiring a Product Manager to sit at the operational centre of our product function. You will maintain the combined roadmap and backlogs across the SMART AI product range, turn agreed priorities into well-organised and scheduled work, and keep Product, Delivery and Engineering aligned from refinement through to release.\nThis is a hands-on coordination and delivery role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to competing priorities. You will not need to own every product decision yourself; you will make sure agreed decisions are translated into clear, buildable work and carried through consistently across products and teams.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nMaintaining the combined roadmap across SMART AI products and keeping product backlogs ordered against agreed priorities.\nFacilitating cross-product backlog refinement and sprint planning with Product Specialists.\nPreparing prioritisation recommendations and carrying agreed decisions through into scheduled work.\nChecking that work items are complete, estimated and ready before they enter a sprint.\nCoordinating between Product, Delivery and Engineering, tracking progress and keeping priorities and status aligned.\nMaintaining and sequencing engineering work queues, with clear visibility of capacity, dependencies and work in progress.\nMaintaining the shared platform backlog and tracking dependencies between the platform and the products built on it.\nCoordinating client UAT and tracking work through to release.\nProducing clear roadmap, progress, queue-status and backlog-health reporting.\nWhat makes this role different\nYou will work across a connected family of AI products rather than managing a single isolated backlog. The role combines product operations, delivery coordination and practical judgement about GenAI and agentic AI. Your impact will be visible in the quality of the work entering delivery, the flow of work across teams and the clarity of the roadmap for the wider business.\nWhat we’re looking for\nWe are not screening on a specific degree or qualification. We care about evidence that you can bring structure, judgement and momentum to product delivery:\nExperience maintaining a product backlog or roadmap in a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar delivery role within technology, AI or software.\nA structured and organised approach to competing requests across several products or teams.\nConfidence working with product, client-facing, delivery and engineering colleagues, including facilitating planning and refinement sessions.\nStrong attention to detail when reviewing work items, acceptance criteria, estimates and dependencies.\nA practical understanding of how software is designed, built and released.\nWorking knowledge of GenAI, large language models and agentic AI, sufficient to discuss feasibility and sequencing.\nClear written communication and disciplined decision recording.\nEligibility to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.\nNice to have\nExperience with Azure DevOps Boards, delivery plans or equivalent tooling.\nExperience with Scrum, Kanban or flow-based work management.\nExposure to AI-assisted or agentic software delivery.\nExperience of SaaS products, cloud platforms or shared platform dependencies.\nExperience of local government or wider public sector service delivery.\nQualifications and development\nFormal qualifications are not required.
